Francoise and Paul have excelled in creating a gorgeous little getaway home. The cottage is immaculate, and adored with interesting artwork and trinkets. The open plan living room / dining room / and kitchen was very comfortable, and the walk in shower was a daily treat! We were met on arrival and presented with a basket of home grown fruit and later had home baked cakes left on our door step; they were scrumptious!! Both Francoise and Paul were extremely helpful and encouraged us to call them at any time day or night for advice on local attractions, etc. We were lucky enough to be invited into their home for an evening drink. Initially my wife and I were apprehensive as we were travelling with a 2 month old baby. Francoise assured us they were not disturbed by him at any time. She took great delight in providing him with an introduction to French speaking! The village of Bonlez is stunning. You are within walking distance of two fantastic restaurants, and a 15 minute drive from a large Carrefor. There are some lovely walks to choose from, and the golf course looks to be of a high standard. Without a doubt my wife, baby and I intend to visit again for another week at the end of January. This time we will make the most of the French lessons on offer from Francoise. Sincerely I cannot recommend this cottage highly enough! |
