This detached Victorian family house occupies one of the finest locations on the South Coast of the Island. The property enjoys a superb Southerly aspect with fine views of the sea over the well established grounds. Access to many miles of coastal walks is available literally from the bottom of the drive with a pleasant walk along the esplanade to Ventnor Bay and haven. Bonchurch beach is a couple of minutes walk from the end of the drive. Bonchurch village features a wildlife pond, the sophisticated Pond Café and the charismatic Bonchurch Inn .

A short walk away along the Esplanade is the small town of Ventnor which offers stylish Victorian buildings, a lovely sandy/fine shingle beach, the Ventnor Fishery for the catch of the day, a main shopping street, parks and gardens. Also of interest is the Ventnor Heritage Museum, as well as a Museum on nautical history.

Other local places of interest include the Isle of Wight Coastal Visitors Centre, St. Boniface Church, the Rew Down Local Nature Reserve and St Boniface Down, which is the highest point on the Isle of Wight and also where Ventnor's Radar Station is situated. The Isle of Wight coastal path is a 65 mile (105km) long trail around the island, which follows the coastline as closely as possible, going right past Dolphins.

Entertainment, sport and leisure are varied and include Cricket grounds with the new Cricket Academy, golf courses, Pitch & Putt courses, tennis courts and a variety of children's playgrounds.

Swimming pool - guests have access to an outdoor swimming pool which is available at the owner's discretion May 29th - Sept 1st. The pool is screened off from the house so that the garden is private and secluded. During the month of September guests can pay a supplement of £150 per week for use of the pool, by prior arrangement.
