The West Wales/Pembrokeshire region

This is an area of mountains, sea and national park and somewhere that has been attracting holidaymakers for many years. Pembrokeshire Coast national Park in the south west is a favourite holiday destination, with miles of coastal footpaths and wonderful seascapes; lots of Blue Flag beaches and seas rich in marine life. Further east Carmarthenshire also has lots to attract holidaymakers, with historic castles, mountains, rivers and of course coastline. No matter where you choose your never too far away from mountains and the sea and of course there is the thriving cities of Cardiff and Swansea to visit, where you'll find lots of first class shops, cafes and restaurants.

Boncath

The property would serve as a most convenient base for exploring this truly glorious holiday region of Wales. A must is a visit to nearby Poppit Sands, located only nine miles away. This blue flag graded beach is simply spectacular and has the practical benefits of generous local car parking and an excellent beachside café. Keen walkers may already know that Poppit Sands is the final point on the stupendous Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, at approximately one hundred and ninety miles this is not only one of the longest but also one of the most beautiful long distance walks in the whole of the UK. The amazing All Wales Coastal Path opened only recently and Poppit Sands also marks the beginning of the section through the scenic splendour of the Ceredigion region. Walkers of all abilities will enjoy this trail as it offers utterly fantastic seascape views. Another must is a visit to the historic town of Cardigan. This is a vibrant arts and events centre and also offers a most interesting townscape to explore. The Cardigan Bay area in general is a wonderful place to observe bird and marine life and a cruise on one of the many local boat trips is highly recommended and a great way to see such creatures as dolphins and seals in their natural environment.
