Home description

3 bed furnished villa,(House of the Almond trees) comfortably sleeping nine, with pool ,situated in foothills,yet within easy access of motorway(3 mins)local village with all required amenities and shops.10 to 15 minute drive to numerous beaches and resorts and golf clubs.Stunning views and not isolated.Large terraced areas,covered veranda for outdoor dining and large roof terrace.Outdoor barbeque and ample car parking.Lots of unspoilt villages to be explored and within easy reach.
The house is totally private and not overlooked and is also child friendly with a shallow end to the pool of 1 metre and 2 metre deep end.Pool area is also gated for child safety.

The Algarve region

The village and area of Boliqueime nestles in the foothills of the Algarve from where it commands stunning views..Whilst we are far enough away from bustling resorts not to be bothered by madding crowds we are still within 15 mins. drive of Vilamoura with its Marina and golf courses and Albufeira with its old town and excellent nightlife,to name but a few.We are also well situated to explore the hills with their many hidden treasures,traditional restaurants,rustic villages unchanged by time,breathtaking scenery and hill walks or drives.Portugese people are very friendly and more than willing to stop and have a chat to boast about their region.All this accessible on a road network which is literally on your doorstep.The weather,of course,is idyllic with long balmy summers and still warm winters.


Boliqueime area

The village itself has a supermarket,church,restaurants,pharmacy and bars to suit all tastes.The surrounding towns of Loule, Quarteira and Albufeira all have open air markets on different days throughout the week whilst the village of Alte is reputed to be the most picturesque in the Algarve - all within fifteen mins. drive.Activities such as Karting,Golf,water sports,water parks,casino and lots more are widely available,again within a short drive.Also,things like traffic jams are basically unheard of .English language weekly newspaper gives details of all local festivals and events which seem to occur every week somewhere near us.


How to get there

Most airlines from all major UK cities and Ryanair and Aer Lingus from Dublin and Shannon fly into Faro airport.Our house is approx. 15kms from the airport and driving time is 20 - 30 mins.Car hire can be arranged and a comprehensive list will be supplied on request.

Our house has a fully furnished kitchen with all utilities,gas cooker and electric oven,microwave and fridge etc.Bedroom i has a double bed with en-suite shower toilet and wash hand basin.Bedroom 2 has a double bed and a single bed.Bedroom 3 has a double bed and double sofa bed.Bedrooms 2 and 3 overlook the patio and pool areas.Bedroom 1 overlooks driveway and front garden.The pool is on a slightly lower level,accessed down 5 steps,is totally private and is 7 metres by 3 metres with shallow end of 1 metre and deep end of 2 metres and is gated for child safety.

There are large patio areas with Badminton net and rackets and basketball hoop,covered veranda with built-in barbeque and seating for al fresco dining.Large roof terrace and sun loungers and garden furniture including swing seat available.

Cleaning and linen change provided twice weekly.Pool maintained weekly.Car hire recommendations on request.Rental available for 1 week,2 weeks or one month,subject to availability.
