Casa Pinoquio (villa)

Home description

The villa in situated in Boliqueime in the countryside. It has lovely country and sea views and is set in its own beautiful mature gardens, with a superb swimming pool (maintained throughout the year). It has a large terrace for shady outdoor living and sunbathing. The entire property is bounded by stone walls for total privacy.

There are three double bedrooms and two bathrooms. The sitting room is large with a bar and separate dining room, fully fitted kitchen and utility room. The sitting room has double doors leading to the large terrace. The villa will sleep up to six people comfortably. The villa has one level.

The villa is 10 minutes from the International golf courses at Vilamoura and Vale de Lobo and 15 minutes to the Sea. Loule (a market town) is 15 minutes away with a popular market, shopping and eating places. Villamoura with its marina, restaurants, bars and shopping is also 15 minutes away. There are many places to eat out - or simply breakfast and/or lunch on the terrace by the pool.

We think the garden is fantastic with orange, lemon, fig and almond trees plus an abundance of flowers.

The Algarve / Central Algarve region

The Algarve provides sunshine breaks and relaxing holidays. It has golden beaches on the coast of calm sea waters, sun-kissed tourists relaxing and sampling the delights that this wonderful region of Portugal has to offer.

Everywhere you go, you are surrounded by bright colours, from the golden sands, to the crystal clear waters, the clear blue skies, the vivid green grass, and the white-washed walls of the buildings in the Algarve's old towns.

There is no one best way to explore this region of Portugal. The seemingly endless coastline includes some of the world's most beutiful beaches, but by venturing just a few miles inland, you can lose yourself in the heritage and history of the Algarve.

The Algarve is also home to some of the world's most famous golf courses, where players of all ability are welcome. You can also try your hand at a nice relaxing game of bowling, or tennis, with the Algarve's fantastic views and sights providing the perfect backdrop.

Loule is a rural administrative and active market town with some remains of a castle dating back to the 12th Century and is a 15 minute drive from the Villa. The market is well known for providing a range of fresh fish and meat. Villamoura (famous for its fantastic golf courses) is 15 minutes drive and has many restaurants, bars, water sports, tennis courts. Quarteira which is 15 minutes drive has a fantastic market on a Wednesday. Albufeira with its tourist bars and nightlife is 20 minutes away.

Boliqueime / Lombada area

Boliqueime is 15 minutes from Villamoura and Loule. It is situated in a peaceful setting with fabulous country and sea views. The village of Alfontes is 5 minutes away and boasts a small supermarket and restaurant which is very popular with the locals. Boliquieme is set on a hill and has a large imposing church in the centre and boasts a number of local supermarkets, bars and restaurants.

How to get there

From you the UK you can get flights to Faro airport which is 15 miles from the Villa (approximately 25 minutes). You can get flights from Easyjet, Monarch, Exel, TAP and British Airways. You can arrange car hire from the UK with a pick up at Faro. Carjet (Budget) allows you to drop the car back at the airport rather than a couple of miles outside and tends to be one of the cheapest. A taxi can be arranged to pick you up from the airport or you can follow the taxi to the Villa. We will provide details of a map from the Airport to the Villa at booking.

The entrance to the villa is through a round turret which enters into the hallway and living room which has a bar and entrance to the terrace. There is a separate dining room and large kitchen with all the main cooking facilities including cooker, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher and fridge freezer. Each bedroom has fitted wardrobes with ample storage space. The master bedroom has an en suite and has beautiful country and sea views.

The sitting room has two settes, a bar area, hi fi system, tv and video and has SKY Tv. The entrance to the terrace is via the sitting room and overlooks a large swimming pool together with views of the garden, country and sea.

Further details outdoors:
There is large terrace with can sit 8 people comfortably. The terrace overlooks the garden and swimming pool as well as having fantastic country and sea views. There is a gas b-b-q for cooking outside. The terrace is south facing and enjoys the sun all day. There are sun loungers for up to 6 guests. The villa has long driveway with parking for up to 4 cars. Outside lights highlight the exterior.

The villa is set in 2000 square meters of mature garden boasting lemon, orange, fig and almond trees as well as an array of different flowers. The property is privately situated with private gates.

A welcome pack is provided on arrival with all relevant contact details. There is a English speaking neighbour on hand who will provide access to the property and provide advice where necessary. The swimming pool and gardens are private with a walled garden and access through private gates. A swimming pool is cleaned once a week and gardens maintained fortnightly. A maid service is provided once a week.
