The nearby beaches of the central Algarve are approximately 15 minutes drive away, the nearest being Falesia and Olhos d'agua. The wilder beaches of the West Coast of Portugal, suitable for surfing, are just a 50 minute drive away, as are those on the Spanish Algarve.
The Boliqueime / Alfontes area
The largest market town on the Algarve, Loule, is just 10km from Casa Meme, Algarve Shopping Centre approx. 15 minutes and Faro Town around 30 minutes.
It takes around five minutes to drive to the EN125 and 3 minutes to the nearest portal to the A22 (IP1) Junction 11.
There are a number of international and Portuguese restaurants within a short distance of Casa Meme. The pretty nearby village of Boliqueime has banking facilities, pharmacy, numerous shops and bars as has the market town of Loule.

What an amazing holiday we've had. The villa is stunning, 5 beds with 5 en suite is a dream - no sharing of bathroom facilities makes life easy. The location does require a car but easy to find your bearings after the first 2 trips out. The views are spectacular and the added facilities of an infinity pool, jacuzzi, gym and tennis court means there's something for everyone. It is in a quiet location so entertainment needs to be made at home but with 10-11 possible guests this isn't a problem. We had an amazing housekeeper, Noelia, whom made our visit even more relaxing; her local knowledge and happy demeanour made her daily visits yet another daily delight. I would highly recommend this property and will be keen to visit the other villas. We lunched at their boutique hotel Quinta Jacintina on the day of our arrival - also a stunning and personal property, with friendly and helpful staff - all very thoughtful, smiley and polite. I would recommend Birds Nest in Boliquieme for a local meal, Pig & Whistle in Amancil (excellent food with a slight twist by Scottish couple), Vale de Lobo for dining / going out, Villamoura for marina, shopping and dining / going out and I would also like to recommend Algarve Kitchen Angels whom provided a suprise birthday meal at the villa for my father and our friend. Their attention to detail and helpfulness was excellent; the food exceptional, 5 star service without the 'stuffiness'. I'd return tomorrow - Thank you Casa Meme and all involved in making our trip so fantastic!!! |
