"Lovely cosy cottage...you would be pushed to find a nicer one"
We have stayed in cottages and gites in France for many years...usually choosing something different every year. After we stayed in Petit Bois for the first time three years ago we decided that if it were still available we would always choose to go back there if staying in Northern France...why? It quite simply is a delightful home, furnished with everything you might need for a great holiday. The cottage has two wings, so it is cosy if you are a small group or it can be used to house two families if required. The kitchen is a typical cottage style, overlooking the lovely garden which is full of different flora and fauna...we have heard Tawny and Barn Owls, seen Bullfinches,Chaffinches, Black Cap, Chiff Chaffs and many other lovely birds. We have two girls now aged 8 and 10...they love the trampoline and the sweet little upstairs bedroom which now has a little TV and DVD player. In the stables, the new owners have a table tennis table, my husband and the girls spent hours in there! On cold days, the woodburner and beams make for a lovely cosy interior...we spent one afternoon watching DVDs and eating popcorn together. The garden is south facing and a great sun trap...when the sun makes an appearance it is a great place to sit and have lunch...the local bakery makes superb bread. The cottage is superbly placed for lots of wonderful sightseeing..our children are a bit young to be very interested in the Great Wars but the battlefields of Somme are within easy reach, as are lots of beautiful beaches...we adore Hardelot Plage. The Bagatelle Parc is great fun as is Aqualud in Le Touquet. My favourite place is the Abbaye de Valloires, a 20 minute drive away ...the gardens are stunning. I would remommend this cottage to anyone...couples and families who want to holiday in a peaceful location, which is near all the local attractions. The owners are very friendly and will provide you with excellent driving directions etc. We will be back...thank you again Lucy and Mike.

"wonderful place to stay"
we have just come back fom Le Petit Bois after staying for 10 days. we have had a lovely holiday , we went to disney first and then had a relaxing time, the farmhouse is spacious for our two families ,the kids loved the bedroom, plenty of toys and room to play. the adults loved the comfy sofas and the wonderful garden we could unwind in and drink wine. The area is very pretty near to beach, and the nearest town Montreil is charming.
we were sad to leave and would love to go back again. I would say its the best place we have stayed in in france.
