We are offering a wonderful self-catered chalet in the heart of one of Slovenia's most beautiful areas and within the Triglav National Park. The chalet is just a short walk from the breathtaking glacial Lake Bohinj and an easy drive from the ski resort of Vogel.
After only 40 minutes' drive from the international airport at Ljubljana you find yourself in one of the most tranquil, unspoilt areas left in the Alps. If you enjoy swimming, hiking, canoeing, fishing, skiing or simply relaxing, then there is something here for everyone to enjoy. This stunning chalet offers the perfect mountain retreat for guests of all ages.
The chalet has two double bedrooms, one single bedroom and one open loft sleeping area for two. There is a large open plan living room / kitchen / dining room and bathrooms on ground and first floor. There is a large cellar and porch area for storage of skiing equipment as well as a pretty garden with seating and barbecue area. The house has been recently renovated and newly equipped to a very high standard.

The Gorenjska region
The Gorenjska region is home to Slovenia's most beautiful scenery, the stunning Julian Alps and the Triglav National Park. Lake Bohinj is considered to be many as the jewel in the crown of this wonderful region.

Bohinj is less than an hour’s drive north of the capital Ljubljana, located in the Triglav National Park and has an altogether tranquil feel – the serene lake, surrounded by beautiful mountains and quiet villages is a superb place to rest and unwind and is bursting with opportunities for outdoor activities from walking, mountain biking and boating / swimming and fishing in the lake in Summer to skiing in Winter. The popular ski resort of Vogel is perched on a mountain overlooking lake Bohinj and the small ski resort of Kobla, lies between Bled & Bohinj in an attractive town call Bohinjska Bistrica, which also features the excellent Bohinj Water Park. Bohinj is also a popular starting point for treks up to Slovenia’s highest mountain Triglav past 7 smaller high altitude lakes.
How to get there
It couldn't be easier to get to Chalet Planina. From the UK, you can fly with Adria Airways (National airline of Slovenia) direct from Gatwick to the Capital Ljubljana. You can also fly with Easyjet direct from Stansted to Ljubljana. You will need to hire a car from the airport (Budget, Sixty or Hertz) and then drive just 45 mins to the Chalet.
