Villa Belica makes a fantastic base from which to explore Slovenia’s enchanting Lakes Region. A traditional style Slovenian chalet with delightful terrace and garden, enclosed by forest on one side and offering a panoramic view of Triglav, Slovenia’s highest mountain on the other, the villa is situated on the edge of the tranquil village of Bohinj Polje just a few minutes drive or a short walk via a scenic forest path to the majestic Lake Bohinj, a serene lake surrounded by towering peaks and pristine forests. The area offers a huge range of outdoor activities all year round both on and around the Lake - from fly-fishing to mountain biking, from kayaking to mountain walking not to mention excellent on and off piste skiing at the highly respected resort of Vogel and great family skiing at th smaller reosrt of Kobla, both within a few minutes drive of the house. The house itself is renovated to a very high standard with wooden flooring and comfortable solid wood furnishing throughout.

The Gorenjska region
The Gorenjska region is home to Slovenia's most beautiful scenery, the stunning Julian Alps and the Triglav National Park. Lake Bohinj is considered to be many as the jewel in the crown of this wonderful region.
Bohinj area
Bohinj Polje is a quiet village of mountain chalets just a few minutes drive from Lake Bohinj, a serene lake surrounded by towering peaks and pristine forests, which many consider to be the most beautiful part of a stunningly beautiful country. The area is a paradise for outdoor activities of all types. In Summer this includes a wealth of walking to suit all abilities, a variety of water based activities from swimming, sailing and windsurfing on Lake Bohinj to kayaking / rafting on the Sava Bohinjka river leading from the lake plus a huge range of other interesting activities to cater for all tastes - from horseriding to canyoning, mountaineering to paragliding, not to mention top class fly fishing. In Winter there is excellent skiing at 2 locations within 10 minutes drive of the Villa - the highly respected resort of Vogel which offers lots of on and off piste skiing, good lift infrastructure, snow record and the smaller family resort of Kobla. There is futher skiing at Soriska Planina circa 20 minutes drive away and a variety of other resorts up to 1 hours drive away. There is an excellent water park in the town of Bohinjska Bistrica a few minutes drive from the house offering modern pool and spa facilities. In Bohinjska Bistrica you can also find a range of restaurants, bars, shops and other useful amenities. Just 20 minutes drive away is world famous Lake Bled with its picturesque church on an island overlooked by a medieval castle.

Further details indoors: The Villa has three double bedrooms - on the ground floor there is a double bedroom with en suite shower room and terrace doors into the garden, on the first floor there is a lovely large double bedroom with doors onto the stunning balcony and another bedroom with 2 single beds. The two first floor bedrooms share a spacious bathroom with large bath and shower. On the ground floor is a large bright open plan living room / dining room with access onto the terrace, flatscreen TV and DVD player and comfortable double sofabed. In addition there is a separate fully equipped kitchen, WC and entry room. In the basement is a storage room and a large room with additional double sofabed which can be moved for use wherever necessary. Everything has been recently renovated and newly equipped to the highest standards with wooden flooring and beautiul solid wood alpine style furnishings throughout.
Further details outdoors: The Villa is adjoined by a pretty garden with terrace area looking over panoramic views with outdoor seating, table and barbecue area. A lovely secluded space for sunbathing or children to play in in Summer months.
