A lovely traditional slovenian alpine house,recently modernised with new equipment in a quite location within 500 metres from all the amenities .Ample parking.
The area is rich in scenery close to lakes Bled & Bohinj and on the edge of the triglav national park.There are many local pursuits to try or you can choice to sit and relax enjoying the mountain air which is so fresh or get out and about to enjoy leisure and sport .An all year round holiday location. white water rafting .country walks ,mountain hiking,cycling & mountain biking,mountain climbing.winter sports to name but a few.

Fresh light colours complement the wood block floors in the double bedroom & lounge both having patio doors to the garden.A pleasant location with a large fruit garden and children's area.(swing/see-saw)
Recently modernised but retaining a slovenian home feel to make you comfortable and relaxed during your stay.
There is a sofa bed in the lounge . A big entrance lobby .Access to the shared sauna and basement facilities.
A big live in kitchen were you can enjoy your meals together
Outside BBQ area under the apple trees- seasonal fruits from the orchard.

An open area to the rear and both sides which is grassed .There is a hill orchard which is an adventure playground for younger children .There is covered parking for two cars and a further spaces for two . at the side of the house there is a large clothes line. and fruit trees to the other side and to the front . There are two bbq,s in the rear garden and a large covered seating area. Ideal for those summer evenings or lunches.
The rear garden is a real sun trap being east & south facing and will reach mid 30 degrees on sunny days. The location is perfect for big groups of up to 12

If you need more space you could rent the rest of the house . It will sleep up to12 .Just contact the owners.
From 1 st august 2007 Slovenian law changed and rented holiday homes are now non smoking . You may smoke on the rear patio area. Please respect our wishes.
The visitor book will be completed by our representative.
No outdoor shoes to be worn in the house please. Recommend the house shoes / slippers that are provided .
Please do not light fires in the lounge as it smoke fills the lounge.
Conditions
The minimum stay is three days. Weekends can be booked but there is a premium for a short stay to cover laundry & cleaning
You will need to pay a 20% deposit to book and the balance is due 6 weeks prior to departure as well as the refundable breakage deposit (returned within 14 days of your departure.)Tourist tax is not included .1.01 Eur adults and50c per child per day.

The Gorenjska region


In the heart of the Julian Alps with warm sunny days (average summer temp 24c), the region is rich in tradition and a lot of farming is still carried out by hand. There is still a dairy farm in the village and during the summer the cattle go to the high meadow from the village.
Bled for gift shopping or a day out in LJubljana. The postojna caves the largest in Europe are about a 2 hour drive. The lipizzaner horses can be seen in action at lipica 2.5 hrs away. For a change of scenery just pop your car on the train for a few euros and you are in the Soca river region. There is an interesting tourist cheese route in the mountain pastures close by.
The Bohinj / Bohinjska Bistrica area
Lakes Bohinj and Bled are close by for swimming and boating. White water rafting is also close by as is fly fishing. The local tourist office can provide advice on guides for climbing, mountaineering and skiing, organized walks, cycle tours. Local scenery is stunning at any time of the year.
The koble ski centre is in the village and is good for children with gentle slopes close to the village .Just a short ride on the ski bus takes you to the cable car and the vogle ski complex with 35 km of skiing.
The river sava is world famous for fly fishing and the spring flowers are at there best end of May. The local economy is agriculture and tourism as well as timber and wood products.

Several budget airlines to Slovenia including Easy Jet from the UK. Adria Air serve most of Europe. Wizzair serves Hungary, Poland, Scandanavia plus many more. Salsburg and Marco Polo Venice are about 2.5 hr drive.
Rrom Brnik (the main airport), simply join the main highway direction Jesenice stay on highway and then take the right turn filter for Bled when you see the sign. Go through Bled passing the lake and continue towards Bohinj. When you get into the village of Boh.bistrica follow round to the right taking the first left. Now refer to your local details as you are 500 metres from the house. Drive time from the airport about 40mins.

The wood family Said-lovely accommodation. A lovely sunny garden for children. The house is is in a perfect location to visit the local area, lots of interesting discoveries. seeing the cows ambling back in the evening,the tremendous views from the house,everybody so friendly .The accommodation had everthing you need very well equipped. We hope to be back soon !
