A perfect base close to all ameneties with outdoor activities to suit all ages.Walking distance to Kobla ski system and a 15 min ski bus ride to the bigger Vogel ski complex(open all year). Aqua park in the village 500m away. Take a look at some of the varied activity leaflets at the apartment or visit the local tourist office for greater detail on organized guided trips. Try white water rafting ,paragliding and a choice of many walking and cycle routes The house has a pleasent orchord garden to relax & enjoy summer evenings on your return, were you can BBQ your evening meal, leaving the children to enjoy the play area in safety . An evening strole into the village befor retiring. Enjoy a coffee or a beer with friendly locals.

The Gorenjska region
In the heart of the Julian Alps with warm sunny days (average summer temp 24c), the region is rich in tradition and a lot of farming is still carried out by hand. There is still a dairy farm in the village and during the summer the cattle go to the high meadow from the village.
Bled for gift shopping or a day out in LJubljana. The postojna caves the largest in Europe are about a 2 hour drive. The lipizzaner horses can be seen in action at lipica 2.5 hrs away. For a change of scenery just pop your car on the train for a few euros and you are in the Soca river region. There is an interesting tourist cheese route in the mountain pastures close by.
Bohinj / Bohinjska Bistrica area
Lakes Bohinj and Bled are close by for swimming and boating. White water rafting is also close by as is fly fishing. The local tourist office can provide advice on guides for climbing, mountaineering and skiing, organized walks, cycle tours. Local scenery is stunning at any time of the year.
The koble ski centre is in the village and is good for children with gentle slopes close to the village .Just a short ride on the ski bus takes you to the cable car and the vogle ski complex with 35 km of skiing.
The river sava is world famous for fly fishing and the spring flowers are at there best end of May. The local economy is agriculture and tourism as well as timber and wood products.
How to get there
Several budget airlines to Slovenia including Easy Jet from the UK. Adria Air serve most of Europe. Wizzair serves Hungary, Poland, Scandanavia plus many more. Salsburg and Marco Polo Venice are about 2.5 hr drive.
Rrom Brnik (the main airport), simply join the main highway direction Jesenice stay on highway and then take the right turn filter for Bled when you see the sign. Go through Bled passing the lake and continue towards Bohinj. When you get into the village of Boh.bistrica follow round to the right taking the first left. Now refer to your local details as you are 500 metres from the house. Drive time from the airport about 40mins.

Further details indoors: The apartment is entered via the house front door, then turning left up the stairs to your entrance ,were you have a loby which leads to the bathroom & toilet,separate toilet, The 2 rear double bedrooms have another single bed and to the front of the house there is a double bedroom Each bedroom has a wash basin & direct access to a balcony. Passing through to the stairs takes you to the upper level were you find the dining area with views of Mt Triglav, a galley kitchen & the rear lounge with leather seating, TV & DVD
. The galley kitchen has a gas/electric hob. oven & grill with sufficent equipment to cook for up to 8. The top floor dining area seating up to 8 has unspoilt views of Mt Triglav which looks majestic bathed in morning sun. This is a very spacious apartment with very comfortable beds for a good nights sleep (Set your alarm) Laminate flooring in the bedrooms as well as the lounge & dining rooms .All the other areas are tiled.
Full central heating for those winter nights but a cool house in the summer
Enjoying the Sauna in the basement at the end of a busy day will leave feeling refreshed.

Further details outdoors: The rear terrace is partly covered and is east facing, so has the sun most of the day .There are seats and sun loungers.There is a large log table to seat 8/10 and a number of log benches. At the front there is a car canopy for two cars plus space for a further two.
The garden around the house is grassed . the front has fruit trees and bushes and the rear a play area ( not suitable for ball games) a hill orchard were you can pick seasonal fruits , this can also be an adventure playground for small children.The garden is fenced to the sides and rear .There is a swing set to the side. There are 2 BBQ areas .Lots of space to sunbath in the rear garden 30+c on summer days .

A welcome pack can be arranged at a nominal cost usually containing the first day basics . Fresh bread,Milk Butter ,Cheese,Ham,Eggs.Tea,Coffee.juice The garden is shared with other guests if you have not rented the full house. Due to the construction of the house smoking is only permitted on the patio area and has to be complient with Slovenian law .No smoking in rented accommodation. No outdoor shoes worn in the house please. HOUSE SLIPPERS provided.
Conditions
A 20% deposit is required with a booking and the full payment plus a breakage deposit of 200 Eur 6 weeks prior to your holiday start date. The breakage deposit is returned less breakages within 14 days after you depart. Once you have confirmed you wish to book you will be given the payment details within 24 hour and our bank transfer details.PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE TOURIST TAX (currently 1.01Eur per adult and 50c. per child per day.)

Feb. 2009 Osbourne family. party of 8 for a skiing holiday said. The house is great with loads of room and after a busy day on the slopes you quickly relax .Close to the aqua park , shops & village. The welcome pack was perfect for the varied needs of all in our party and was most welcome ,arriving late in the evening and represented good value .
