Home description

A modern feel with light colours and laminate floors .Situated in quite spot on the edge of a sleepy village . This is a three story house with a basement housing a large sauna ,laundry ,bathroom/shower/ toilet.ski room and drying room.The ground floor has a double bedroom ,separate toilet ,bathroom shower toilet,lounge with a large bed settee big live in kitchen.The first floor has a large bathroom /shower /toilet and three large bedrooms ,two bedrooms have a double and a single sleeping three .One a double.The top floor there ia a lounge,kitchen,and a dining area to seat 8 looking directly at Mt Triglav. All the upper bedrooms have balconies.If you require the complete house to sleep 12 contact the owner . The house is perfectly located for all outdoor persuits whatever level.

The Gorenska region

In The heart of the Julian Alps with warm sunny days (average summer temp.24c) The region is rich in tradition and a lot of farming is still carried out by hand.There is still a dairy farm in the village and during the summer the cattle go to the high meadow from the village .
The koble ski centre is in the village and is good for children with gentle slopes close to the village .Just a short ride on the ski bus takes you to the cable car and the vogle ski complex with 35 km of ski-ing
The river sava is world famous for fly fishing and the spring flowers are at there best end of may.

Bohinj / Bohinjski Bistrica area

Lakes Bohinj and Bled are close by for swimming and boating .White water rafting is also close by as is fly fishing. The local tourist office can provide advice on guides for climbing, mountaineering and skiing.,organized cycle tours.Local scenary is stunning at any time of the year .Bled for gift shopping or a day out in LJubljana .The postojna caves the largest in europe are about a 2 hour drive .The lipizzaner horses can be seen in action at lipica 2.5 hrs away.
For a change of scenary just pop your car on the train for a few euros and you are in the Soca river region. There is an interesting tourist cheese route in the mountain pastures close by

How to get there

Several budget airlines to Slovenia including Easy Jet from the UK . Adria Air serve most of Europe .Wizzair serve Hungary ,Poland ,Scandanavia plus many more. Salsburg and Marco Polo Venice is also about 2.5 hr drive.
from brnik ( the main airport )simply join the main highway direction Jesenice stay on highway and then take the right turn filter for Bled when you see the sign .Go through Bled passing the lake and continue towards Bohinj .When you get into the village of Boh.bistrica follow round to the right taking the first left.Now refer to you local details as you are 500 metres from the house .Drive time from the airport about 40mins.

The house faces Mt Trglav and all front balconies view the mountains.The rear balconies and patio area face the gentle hill garden,were you will find a pleasent orchord setting with a small play area. This is shared with the family who may be using the ground floor. You can of coarse rent the whole house if available for a bigger party of friends and family .Or just to give you more space and total use of the facilities

Further details outdoors:
The rear terrace is partly covered and is south facing so has the sun most of the day .There are seats and sun loungers.There is a large log table to seat 8/10 and a number of log benches.There is a car canopy for two cars plus space for a further two.
The garden arround the house is grassed . the front has fruit trees and bushes and the rear a small play area( not suitable for ball games) and a hill orchord which can be an adventure playground for small children.The garden is fenced.There is a swing set to the side.

A welcolme pack can be arranged at a nominal cost usually containig the first day basics . Fresh bread,Milk Butter ,Cheese,Ham,Eggs.Tea,Coffee.juice
The garden is shared with other guests if you have not rented the full house.
Due to the construction of the house smoking is only permitted on the patio area and has to be complient with Slovenian law .No smoking in rented accommodation.
No outdoor shoes worn in the house please. HOUSE SHOES OR SLIPPERS provided.

Conditions

A 20% deposit is required with a booking and the full payment plus a breakage deposit of 200euro 6 weeks prior to your holiday start date.
The breakage deposit is returned less breakages within 14 days after you depart.
Once you have registed your interest you will be given the payment details within 24 hour and our bank transfer details.PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE TOURIST TAX currently 1Eur per adult and 50c. per child per day.

We can also re-arange the house to sleep 4/6/8/10/12 people at lower rates please ask how many guests and we will give you a price for your requirments from 15 euro per person per day.

Christmas is still available as the full house 1200 Eur. for 8 and 1600Eur. for a group up to 12 persons
