Description of this group of co-located holiday homes
Bohinj and the Triglav National park is a mecca for sport & leisure and the spacious well appointed home is well placed as a base to enjoy the huge variety of activities throughout the year. The house is a traditional Slovenian home with spacious bedrooms, bathrooms, comfortable lounges, dining areas, able to cater for 4 on the ground floor, 8 on the upper floors.
There is an orchard garden, children's play area, basement area with a large sauna, ski room, laundry, drying room. This is an activity & leisure holiday area for all ages & persuits with most sports covered at all levels. A short drive away are many interesting places to visit, excellent transport links.

The Gorenjska region
In the heart of the Julian Alps with warm sunny days (average summer temp 24c), the region is rich in tradition and a lot of farming is still carried out by hand. There is still a dairy farm in the village and during the summer the cattle go to the high meadow from the village.
Bled for gift shopping or a day out in LJubljana. The postojna caves the largest in Europe are about a 2 hour drive. The lipizzaner horses can be seen in action at lipica 2.5 hrs away. For a change of scenery just pop your car on the train for a few euros and you are in the Soca river region. There is an interesting tourist cheese route in the mountain pastures close by.
Bohinj / Bohinjska Bistrica area
Lakes Bohinj and Bled are close by for swimming and boating. White water rafting is also close by as is fly fishing. The local tourist office can provide advice on guides for climbing, mountaineering and skiing, organized walks, cycle tours. Local scenery is stunning at any time of the year.
The koble ski centre is in the village and is good for children with gentle slopes close to the village .Just a short ride on the ski bus takes you to the cable car and the vogle ski complex with 35 km of skiing.
The river sava is world famous for fly fishing and the spring flowers are at there best end of May. The local economy is agriculture and tourism as well as timber and wood products.
How to get there
Several budget airlines to Slovenia including Easy Jet from the UK. Adria Air serve most of Europe. Wizzair serves Hungary, Poland, Scandanavia plus many more. Salsburg and Marco Polo Venice are about 2.5 hr drive.
Rrom Brnik (the main airport), simply join the main highway direction Jesenice stay on highway and then take the right turn filter for Bled when you see the sign. Go through Bled passing the lake and continue towards Bohinj. When you get into the village of Boh.bistrica follow round to the right taking the first left. Now refer to your local details as you are 500 metres from the house. Drive time from the airport about 40mins.

Further details outdoors: A pleasent orchord hill garden with a flat grassed area to the rear of the house. There is a swing set to one side. There are 2 patio areas, an open area with table, parasol & 4 metal chairs and the covered area with seating for 10, each have there own BBQ. This area is a sun trap and will get hot on summer days and is ideal for sunbathing or just a lazy hour reading & relaxing.

When you rent the ground floor for up to 4 persons you have your dedicated patio area in the open and if you rent the top 2 floors you have the covered area. Complete house you have all areas.
To book you need to pay a 20% deposit and the balance 6 weeks before arrival plus the refundable 200 euro breakage deposit. No outdoor shoes inside, please use the slippers provided. We ask that you leave the house as you found it.
We can provide a welcome pack of milk, butter, cheese, tea, coffee, bread, breakfast items to your preference, plus wine and this is is subject to a nominal cost.
