Further details indoors

The cottage is cosy, and being more than 100 years old, is full of charm and character. It has been sympathetically refurbished in keeping with the age of the property. There is a separate lounge and dining room, which leads onto the newly refurbished kitchen. Upstairs, there is a master bedroom with a king size bed, and a second bedroom that can accommodate two singles, or can be made up as another double. There is also a large, newly fitted family bathroom with a full sized bath and an electric shower over. The comfortable lounge has a Sony home entertainment system with DVD and surrounds sound. Free WiFi is also provided.

Further details outdoors

There is a small, secluded courtyard garden that overlooks a bowling green. Perfect to sip a glass of wine and listen to the gentle click-clacking of the bowls woods.

The cottage is tucked away at the end of a close. You can pull the car up to the cottage to unload and there is ample parking nearby. Permits can be provided for you to park in residents bays, where available.

Further details

The stairs are narrow and steep, so care has to be taken, especially with the very old or very young, although a stair gate can be provided.

The South East England region

According to the Met Office, Bognor Regis is the sunniest town in England, with an average of over 1900 sunshine hours per year. Clouds are often held behind the South Downs, which are easily accessible for walkers, from where you can enjoy some stunning scenery. Close by are Chichester and Arundel, both of which are rich in history. Slightly further afield but still within an hours drive are Portsmouth and Brighton.

Goodwood is a short drive away, hosting Glorious Goodwood, The Festival of Speed, and Goodwood revival. There are plenty of golf courses nearby, including a challenging links course at Littlehampton.

Trains from Bognor Regis go into London Victoria in around an hour and a half.

Bognor Regis

Bognor Regis is a traditional seaside town, providing everything you need for a peaceful and enjoyable break. There are plenty of bars and restaurants to suit every taste. There is a long, flat promenade for a quiet stroll, enjoying the sea air, or why not take a ride in the land train? Hotham park is close by, with miniature golf, miniature railway, and a boating lake. Butlins is within walking distance, for which day passes can be purchased.

Every year there is the Rox festival, a free music event spanning three days where you can enjoy some up-and-coming local bands, and a headline act on Sunday.

Why not visit the Witterings? Probably one of the best beaches in the UK.

"Lovely cottage in a great location"

My friend and I stayed for 2 nights in St Jude's cottage. In advance of our arrival, Steve's communication was excellent and we were made aware of the parking situation. Steve provided plenty of permits, but after unloading my car I moved it around the corner where permits were not required and left it there for the duration of our stay.

The cottage was very clean and cosy. We had fantastic weather, but it was chilly in the evening so the fire was lovely. It was great to have WiFi so we could check out the best places to eat. We found a fantastic Indian called the Cardamom Bay (a 5 minute walk at the most) - it wasn't much to look out, but the food and service were amazing.

Under 5 minutes walk from the main promenade and the town centre, the cottage is ideally located. Due to it's location at the end of a cul-de-sac, it was incredibly quiet. A really lovely place to stay.

"Perfect Getaway"

We booked this on the morning of the day we needed to arrive and the owners could not have reacted more quickly to confirm our booking. We found them to be polite and helpful before and after our stay.

The cottage is immaculate and was everything we needed it to be. Wi-Fi was available and parking wa fully explained in the handbook. Only a couple of minutes walk from the beach and within easy reach of the main shopping area, this cottage is in an ideal location. Peaceful, yet central.

We enjoyed an Indian take way, which was delivered, from one of the menus left for us.

We will certainly keep this in mind for future trips.
