About the home

As well as spectacular views this apartment is set in a complex with colourful gardens, a main pool and children's pool, and a small gym. It is a short 5 minute walk to the beach and the wonderful restaurants at Yalikavak and Gumusluk can be reached in 5-10 minutes either by car or catching the dolmus bus service which stops 2 minutes away.
However, you'll be so impressed with the views from the apartment that you'll probably wish to spend some time dining on the balcony watching the sunset!

This brand new luxury apartment has recently been furnished with modern quality furniture and white goods. The living room/dining room has two sofas,coffee table and LCD TV. It also has broadband internet access.

There are two bedrooms and a bathroom with shower.

The living room and both bedrooms have air conditioning and heating and all have access to the large terrace.

As well as spectacular views this apartment is set in a complex with colourful gardens, a main pool and children's pool, and a small gym. A parking space is also provided so that you can explore the beautiful Bodrum peninsula and even travel further afield to well known sights such as Ephesus and Pamukkale.

Car hire at competitive rates and taxi transfers can be arranged; just let me know and I will send details to you. Parking is provided. I can also arrange a welcome pack with tea,coffee, milk, bread etc; again just let me know and I will send you information and costs.

There is a small shop about 2 mins walk away and Migros supermarket about 10 min drive away where you can stock up on food & drinks at reasonable prices. Dolmus (buses) run regularly from the complex entrance (next to the Jan Darma) The apartment is very secure as you have to drive past the Jan Darma (military police station) to get to it.

A booking deposit of £150 is required and is non refundable. Full fees must be paid 8 weeks before arrival.

A breakage charge of £150 must be paid when booking and is refunded within 1 week of return providing there are no damages.

A cleaning cost of £40 is to be added for each booking.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

The region is next to the Agean Sea and temperatures are consistently high from May until October. There is plenty to do in the area. For those who enjoy historical places of interest and local culture you can visit the ancient city of Ephesus, the royal rock tombs at Dalyan, the temple of Apollo at Didim or the spa pools at Pamukkale or even take a short 40 minute boat trip to the Greek island of Kos.

For those who would rather relax by the pool or sea you are pretty much guaranteed good weather during the long summer season. For those looking for an activity holiday why not try mountain biking, water sports or sailing?

For the children there is an excellent Water Park just 15 minutes drive away and lots of excellent beaches nearby!

The Bodrum / Yalikavak area

The smart Marina town of Yalikavak is about 2km from the apartment which you can either drive to, take a taxi or use the local dolmus (bus). The town offers an excellent range of restaurants, bars and lots of traditional shops. If you like fresh seafood the local restaurants are a must.

The area has many beaches and beach clubs to choose from. Once a week on a Thursday there is a famous market in Yalikavak which is well worth a visit and you can pick up some great bargains and locally produced fruit and veg. An even larger market is held in nearby Turgutreis on Saturdays.

The new Yalikavak marina also provides an ideal location for an evening meal by the sea in the most relaxing of settings. A highlight for most people who visit Turkey is an all day boat trip which takes you round the various bays so you can jump in the sea or you can relax on the boat with a drink and enjoy the lunch provided.

Only 20 minutes away you will find yourself in the livelier town of Bodrum with a large choice of bars, clubs and restaurants. There is also a wide range of shops with great bargains.

Flights are available from most UK International Airports and arrive at Bodrum Airport. Flights via Istanbul or Izmir to Bodrum are also available from the UK. During the summer months, many charter flights fly into Bodrum which is the nearest airport (approx 45 mins drive from the apartment). Try some of these:-

In the winter months, some charter companies still fly direct from the UK to Bodrum, try www.aegeanflights.com Other routes to Bodrum are via Istanbul, Izmir or Dalaman. Turkish Airlines fly from Istanbul to Bodrum. BA flies from Gatwick to Izmir. EasyJet flies from the UK to Bodrum and Dalaman.


It takes just 45 mins to get to the apartment and it's a very pleasant drive, passing orange and lemon groves near the coast. Alternatively transfers cost around £35. Local car hire is also available and I can let you have contact details.

A hire car is recommended as it will enable you to fully explore the scenic peninsula including craft shops, restaurants and beaches.

The apartment has stunning views and the sunsets were fantastic, great
location and easy to get into Yalikavak. The restaurants served great food at
very reasonable prices.
The apartment was well furnished and had the luxury of a breeze all day this
coupled with the pool we found the complex very safe.
We liked the Dolmus transport which was reliable and cheap so a car is not
necessary.
We would highly recommend the location and the apartment

We had a wonderful time at Carpe Diem and so wished could have stayed on longer.
We really can't fault anything or suggest improvements.
We got so much enjoyment from buying loads of fresh fruit and vegetables from the Thursday market and eating Turkish style.

We arrived at home two days ago after our wonderful vacation in Turkey.
Yalikavak is a pleasant village and we liked it so much, with its restaurants and cafés on the long beach or on the port.
Our stay at Carpe Diem was very nice and we thank you for your kindness.
The very comfortable apartment is like it looks in the photos and the view is truly amazing!
To look at the sea and the isles from the terrace was relaxing and every day the sunset was a new surprise.
