Jasmine cottage
About the home
Enjoying a superb waterfront setting, located in a quiet bay, just steps from the sea.
Jasmine Cottage is semi detached and has its own terrace. Jasmine Cottage is thought to date back to the early 18th century and still retains some of its original features, which have been sympathetically restored. The living area is spacious and cool and the cottage also benefits from a long shady sea facing veranda, accessed by a few steps up from the beach.
With the small beach right on the doorstep and GUMUSLUK village centre and popular waterfront restaurants just over a five minute walk away, this cottage really does have an enviable location. Ideal for families.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

Located in the south west corner of the Aegean region of Turkey, the area offers visitors an excellent climate, beautiful coastline and sparkling turquoise seas. The bustling town of Bodrum can be found standing on the site of the ancient city of Halicarnassus and is home to one of the world’s finest museums (housed in a superb 15th century castle ) of underwater archaeology.
Famous for its tangerine orchards and olive groves, the Bodrum Peninsula is dotted with wonderful beaches and coves with a bay to suit every taste. The region offers everything from shopping, restaurants and nightlife and is easily accessible to the many important archaeological sites in the area.
The Bodrum / Gumusluk Village area
Five minutes by car takes you to Gumusluk - this charming unspoiled fishing village is the perfect location to swim, dine and relax. The local Rabbit Island can be reached by a short walk through the sea while its protected harbour makes Gümüslük a favourite place for mooring Gulets.
Yalikavak is around 10 minutes by car where white-washed houses with cascading bougainvillaea line narrow streets. Small cafes and the occasional windmill create a picturesque setting.
The town of Turgutries lays 20 mins by car and its local Saturday market is always busy .From Turgutries it is possible to catch a ferry to the Greek Island of Cos.
The sandy beaches of Bitez can be reached in fewer than 30 mins by car and its clean and safe waters are perfect for families. It is also well known for windsurfing and water sports.
There are plenty of opportunities for interesting walks where it is possible to gain panoramic views of the coastline of both sides of the peninsula. This is particularly beautiful in the spring, when wild flowers fill the area.
We also recommend taking a boat trip on a traditional Turkish wooden gullet. You can either take one of the organised trips or we can help you organise a trip with your own captain & crew.
