About the home

2 bedroomed 4 star apartment in a block of just 4 apartments with a large balcony and fabulous views of sunsets and Greek islands. Spread out giving a spacious feel in a very attractive and upmarket resort. There is access to 8 pools, sauna, gym, tennis court and waterslides.

Transfers are available to nearby Yalikavak, Turgetreis, Bodrum and Gumusluk by local dolmus which can be requested to pick up at Hillview. More info available on facebook EmsworthTravel

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

Yalikavak is uncommercialised and very friendly with a good choice of restaurants - some of which will pick you up and drop you back to Hillside Gardens. There are several small beaches with a pleasant promenade and backed with a few bars and restaurants. Food is generally very good with a wide choice of food available and particularly good for those who love steaks or seafood. 1 or 2 discos available.

A good upmarket area with very pleasant scenery. Climate is excellent summers 70-90 plus F and there is a good breeze in the summer which is welcome on particularly hot days. Winters are mild at 50-65 degrees F but very quiet as much of the resort closes down for the winter but there are still shops and restaurants to chose from.

The Bodrum / Yalikavak area

Bodrum is a good place to visit with the Castle and Amphitheatre. Excursions can be taken to Dalyan to visit the turtles, Turgetreis is worth a visit with its lovey mosque and a large open market, day trips are available to the ancient town of Ephesus or you can take day trips to Kos or Rhodes.

Or just take a day trip out on a boat with visits to a local beach for barbecue and enjoy snorkelling and swimming.

Flight into Bodrum with approximately 40 mins transfer or approximately 2 1/2 hours from Izmir. Car hire can be arranged from £20 per day which I can arrange for you or transfers by private transfer or minibus can be arranged between Mar and October direct flights operate and some winter flights operate to Izmir and Bodrum - tba.

“Great apartment with fantastic views” Hillview gardens offered our family an excellent base to explore the beautiful Bodrum peninsula. The apartment had everything we needed with air conditioning units in every room, washing machine and dishwasher microwave etc with fantastic views from the balcony, and roof terrace. Children loved the range of pools on site with the main pool complete with slides a minute away and two quieter pools round the corner. Staff were always friendly and helpful. A range of visits can be arranged to the waterpark in Bodrum, boattrips or further afield to Ephesus or Pamukkale and the local bus offers a regular service to Yalikavak or Gumusluk where you can make connections and get other buses if you don't hire a car. Having said that we did and found it helpful to nip out the the local Mirgos supermarket near Gumusluk or the bigger Kipa (like Tesco) in Ortakent near Bodrum. The gentle breeze the area enjoys helps you cope with the heat. Overall this apartment and site suited our needs and made our hoilday.
