About the home

A superb, fully equipped 3 bedroom villa set in a complex of 13 privately owned properties. The complex has a family pool, a pool for children, beautiful landscaped gardens and 24 hour on-site assistance. Located 3km from Yalikavak centre, a traditional yet lively village, with restaurants, bars, a beautiful harbour, marina and beach areas. The major town of Bodrum is only 20 minutes away, by car or bus, and is a very attractive coastal town with hundreds of shops, bars, restaurants and night clubs to suit all ages. From Yalikavak day trips to some of Turkey's most famous historic locations are possible. The peninsula is steeped in ancient history, offers bustling markets and many beaches and boat trips. Or why not just chill out by the pool side or on the shaded balconies of your superbly equipped, air conditioned holiday villa.

The villa is also equipped with a water dispenser (cooler). There is gas for cooking and an electric grill and all rentals include gas, electricity, bed linen and towels.

Sun beds are provided for use alongside the pool and table and chairs are located on the patio. The patio is fenced with an access gate which makes it very secure for young children. A few meters from the patio and you arrive at the edge of the pool.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

The Bodrum peninsula offers stunning scenery, attractive beaches and many places of historical interest. It is a location for young and old to visit and enjoy a relaxing or an active holiday. A visitor to this part of Turkey will have the chance to experience a kaleidoscope of culture, stunning nightlife, relaxing beaches, bustling markets and quiet moments by the pool.

To explore this array of opportunities, under the Aegean sun, you can chose local transport (dolmus or bus) or rent a car. Day trips from Bodrum to Greece are available or just sail the coast line in any number of boats available to rent. There are excellent day trips to some of Turkey's most famous historic sites - notably Ephesus and Pamulkale. In the villa you will find a selection of brochures to help you chose how to spend your days.

The Bodrum / Yalikavak area

Bodrum is a fantastic coastal town with many bars, restaurants and a busy nightlife. Boat hire at Bodrum and Yalikavak provides the chance to explore the nearby islands and swim over a 'meteor' site. Yalikavak is near the villa complex and has restaurants, beaches and bars. For sports lovers several of the bars can keep you in touch with the latest action. The area has several excellent markets (food and clothing) - just remember to negotiate your price.

A short walk from the villa is all it takes to stock up from the local supermarket. Nearby there is also a huge aqua park, tennis courts in the village and an 18 hole golf course (see www.vitaparkgolfresort.com for details).

There are international flights from many locations to Bodrum. Alternatively there are domestic flights within Turkey to Bodrum, particularly from Istanbul. From Bodrum international and national airports it is about a 45 minute drive to the Villa. Taxis, buses and car hire are all readily available. Car hire rates and airport transfers are available and can be organised via the owners.

“Excellent accommodation” Only spend 5 days at the olive tree accommodation but very happy with our stay. The villa was very clean and pretty much had everything we needed. You do need a car which wa ok for us as accommodation s a few miles from the resort centre. Plenty of supermarkets within walking distance. The housekeeper was available when we needed her so all in all a great base for my few days in the Bodrum area.
