The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region
The Bodrum peninsula is one of the most beautiful parts of Turkeys' Aegean Coast. There are numerous small fishing villages and resorts around the peninsula, each with their own distinct individual character. There are many small coves, and larger beaches - many offering a range of water sports, and daily boat trips.
The area is steeped in history, and this is still evident across the peninsula. Take time to visit the more obvious sites in Bodrum such as: St Peters' Castle, The Mausoleum, The AMphi Theatre and Myndos Gate. Lycian and Roman ruins can be found throughout the region including suck attractions such as Ephesus, the largest archaeological site in the world, the temple of Apollo at Didim, and the 16th century castle of St Peter, built by the crusaders, standing guard over Bodrum Harbour.
Bodrum / Yalikavak area
Tucked away on the northern shore of the Bodrum Peninsula is Yalikavak, locally known as "A Jewel In The Heart Of The Aegean", thanks to its wonderful beaches and abundant nature.
Yalikavak is fast becoming a popular tourist destination with tis authentic villages and high class international marina. Yalikavak is ideal for people who want the facilities of a bigger resort but not the non-stop night-life.
Yalikavak is one of the greenest locations on the Bodrum Peninsula and nature has been generous in terms of granting it an amazing sea and coastline, together with an endless breeze that cools this unique place even during the hottest of summer days.
Windmills are one of the symbols of Yalikavak. When you arrive at the location where the windmills stand you will be greeted with an enchanting panorama as far as the eye can see. TV/DVD Player, CD player and stylish objects/ornaments and artwork to compliment the carefully selected soft furnishings. An air-conditioning unit is fitted in this area to cool you during the hot summer months. From here, sliding doors open onto the covered terrace and larger than average garden (belonging to this apartment only). The views from here are spectacular over the Aegean to Yalikavak Marina and Yalikavak itself.
The Diner is furnished with a solid wood dining table and four leather chairs. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooker, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, and washing machine. Plus all the quality china, crockery, glassware, and cooking utensils etc necessary for a self catering holiday.
Bedroom One with luxury en-suite bathroom. Kingsize bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers, bedside cabinets, all in solid wood. Lamps, artwork and accessories complete the look. Double doors open out onto a separate patio, the gardens and those amazing views. Air conditioning unit. The en-suite bathroom, has a full bath, shower with glass screen, and designer wash basin, fully tiled in luxury travertine.
Bedroom Two: Twin beds, bedside cabinets, wardrobe and chest of drawers, all in solid wood. Again, lamps, artwork and accessories complete the look. Sliding doors open direct onto a third terrace, the gardens and those amazing views. Air conditioning unit fitted.
Shower room/toilet adjacent to this bedroom with spacious walk in shower, designer wash basin and WC. Fully tiled in luxury travertine.
Further details outdoors: On the lounge terrace is a comfortable three piece wooden suite, with deep comfy cushions and table.
There is a dining table and four chairs and BBQ for al fresco dining, four sunloungers to soak up the sun, in the large private garden.
The apartment has an exceptionally large private, sea facing garden. There are both covered and sunny areas for those who like the sun or shade. A short walk away is the stunning communal infinity pool, with fabulous views over the Aegean towards Yalikavak bay. The large sun terrace of the pool has sun loungers, as well as built in BBQ's for communal entertaining if you wish to enjoy the company of other apartment/villa owners/guests who may be staying at the development. If its privacy you want, then your own garden, terrace and BBQ is an ideal venue to watch the fabulous sun as it dips down into the Aegean.
As stated the apartment has stunning sea views, as does the rest of this small select development, as it has been built on a hillside which runs down to the sea. There is slight incline to and from the pool area, therefore it may not be suitable for the disabled, or very small children.
