The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region
The climate in the winter is mild, average of 12 C and in the summer the average temperate is 28C. Bodrum,Didim, Ephesus and Pamukkale are all places of interest that are worth a visit.
Bodrum / Gulluk area
Gulluk is a friendly fishing village with a weekly market selling fresh local produce. There are plenty of inexpensive restaurants, many of them along the sea front where you can dine on the fresh fish. One bar/restaurant even has sofas and armchairs beside the sea edge where you can relax and drink cocktails watching the fish swim in the flood lit sea. Boat trips go from the harbour every day during the summer season. Ask for Mehmet, he will take you on a fantastic day trip, where you will experience a mud bath, eat melon and drink wine whilst sitting in the warm Aegean sea. A trip not to be missed! The main holiday resort of Bodrum is less than 45 minutes drive away.This is a bustling city with lots of traditional shops and plenty of history with its castle and ampitheatre. A new golf course, about 20 minutes drive away, has opened this summer.
How to get there
Fly to Bodrum airport, which is only 15 minutes drive from Gulluk. Airport transfers can easily be arranged at a cost of approximately £15 each way per taxi. Cars can be hired if preferred. Book before you arrive. There are several companies to choose from.
Gulluk is so near to Bodrum airport that it makes long weekend trips feasible. From both Manchester and Gatwick airports it is possible to fly out on a Friday and back on a Monday.

The master bedroom, also with fabulous sea views, provides additional access to the patio area and has an en-suite shower room. A twin bedroom and further shower room with WC completes the apartment.
Further details
The apartment is situated on the side of a hill. If elderly or infirm then the apartment itself is suitable but you would probably be advised to hire a car to gain access to it.
Bedlinen and bath towels provided but please bring own beach towels.
