The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region
The Bodrum Peninsula on the Aegean Coast offers the attraction of traditional turkish life and a cosmopolitan tourist area. There are many charming fishing villages to visit along the coast with sandy beaches and whitewashed houses. Bodrum is an attractive and bustling port with the heart of the town around the harbour. The many boutiques, artisan, tourist shops, restaurants, bars and art galleries sit along the pretty narrow streets overlooked by the impressive St Peter Castle. Bodrum also boast the Mausoleum of Halikarnassos, one of the 7 wonders of the ancient world. The main season runs from May to October with guaranteed sunshine and blue skies. Even in the Winter months the sun shines with temperatures from mid 60's to early 70's - perfect for walking or horse riding - although it should be noted the pool is not open from Nov to April.
Bodrum / Gulluk area
The local village Gulluk has a lovely sea-front to walk along, a small sandy/shingle beach, beach clubs and swimming areas with attractive decked pontoons. Bodrum the main town is 30 minutes away - an attractive, cosmopolitan, bustling resort contrasting the historical castle and amphitheatre, alongside the new modern marina. Bodrum offers colourful bazaars, Turkish baths and a large selection of restaurants, cafes and shops. Traditional Turkish gulets and modern sailing boats offer many trips to explore the coast or visit the nearby Greek Islands of Kos and Rhodes The Bodrum Peninsula has many pretty towns and villages to visit - Bitez, Turkburku, Gumusluk, Turgetreis - to name a few, as well as historical sites of interest. Lots of watersports - diving, windsurfing, sailing, water-skiing and canoeing. Other activities include a great water-park, horse-riding, a beautiful nature reserve with vast lake, fishing, dolphin parks and much more. The historic site of Ephesus is 1 and a 1/2 hours drive.

Further details indoors: The apartment is newly and tastefully furnished to a high standard with pale stone floors, dark wood furniture and linen curtains throughout. It has a fully fitted kitchen/breakfast room with hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and an extendible table seating 6 people. There is a large lounge with lovely leather and chenille sofas (sofabeds), TV with satellite and DVD, with sliding doors leading to a large terrace overlooking the sea, with table and chairs - a perfect spot for breakfast or to watch the lovely sunsets. There are two big bedrooms each with balconies. The master bedroom has a king size bed and en suite shower room. The second bedroom has 2 single beds each with under beds. Main shower room. AC in all rooms, which also provide heat in cooler months. The apartment comfortably sleeps 4 adults or 2 adults and up to 4 children.
