The Wishing Well apartment is a fabulous, modern apartment (sleeping up to 6) and is an extremely well equipped home-from-home with all the facilities and equipment you'd expect (see property interior and exterior descriptions for full details). Plus there is the luxury of an en-suite bathroom from each of the 2 bedrooms and well as a shared roof terrace and separate children's pool section in addition to the main swimming pool ....all extremely rare to find in apartments in this area. Fantastic extras include a built in stone BBQ on the patio, air-conditioning in the lounge and bedrooms as well as mosquito nets on all windows.
This apartment is the ideal holiday home for families or couples alike due to it is fantastic location. You can enjoy the peace and serenity of a country setting (it is even common to hear the cockerels crowing!) whilst being only a short and easy 8 minute flat walk into central Yalikavak and all its wonderful facilities. This means that NO CAR HIRE is required when you stay here.
You can enjoy lazy days and chill out by the fabulous pool (which features a separate children's section), read a book on the shady terrace, sunbathe on the communal roof terrace or cook up a fabulous al-fresco BBQ. The apartment complex has lovely communal gardens with fragrant tangerine trees and ample car parking nearby.
Yalikavak is right on your doorstep which is a lovely cosmopolitan yet 'uncommercialised' resort which offers over 60 restaurants, a pretty harbour which is home to traditional Turkish fishing boats, a luxurious modern marina with its exclusive shops and yachts, plus a great beach. There is a wonderful promenade which is a perfect spot for a drink to admire the stunning sunsets as well as being great for a relaxing evening stroll to walk off your dinner! The weekly Thursday market is the best place to see the locals shop and at work, as well as to absorb the local culture. It sells everything from fresh fruit and veg, fresh livestock, herbs and spices to Turkish delight, kitchen utensils, clothes, linen and towels. Don't forget to barter for all those holiday gifts!
This is an ideal base for those wanting to explore the Bodrum Peninsula either by Dolmus (local bus), by car, plus there are many interesting excursions which can be taken from boat trips & village tours to scuba diving or visiting fabulous historic and wonderful sites such as Ephesus and Pamukkale.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region
This is a beautiful part of Turkey and is perfect for relaxing by the pool and beach as well as exploring the local area or getting involved into energetic activities. The sea waters are usually crystal clear, sparkling and look an amazing turquoise blue (hence the name of this area). There are many little beaches and coves to explore so you can find your own, quiet beach on the Peninsula set against the beautiful, mountainous backdrop. Dramatic red sunsets are stunning to watch whilst sipping a cool, refreshing drink (please view our photo gallery).
The climate is generally hot and dry between May-October with long sunny days and hardly a drop of rain! The months of April, May, September and October are usually very pleasant (low-mid 20 degrees) - perfect for families with younger children. During the summer months of June, July and August it can reach the mid 30+ degrees. The winter months tend to be mild with some sun, occasional showers however it is not unusual to be able to sunbathe on Christmas day!!
Bodrum / Yalikavak area
Yalikavak is the perfect place to stay if you are looking for a 'less commercial' type of resort as it offers all the expected tourist facilities and amenities such as bars, restaurants, shops and supermarkets but retains its lovely Turkish charm and culture with it pretty bazaar area, frequent mosque prayer calls, traditional Turkish coffee shops, little fishing boats bringing home their daily catch for the local restaurants and a colourful weekly market. Yalikavak is a proud and well maintained town combining the historical remains of ancient windmills with the modern exclusive marina. Plus all buildings are low rise so there are no horrendous sky scrapper hotels here and the centre is traffic free!!
If you decide that you want to cater for yourself in the apartment, Yalikavak has several butchers, fish stalls, fruit and vegetable shops as well as many mini-markets and several large supermarkets. Fresh bread is extremely cheap and readily available from the bread cabinet in most shops. The weekly Thursday market is also the perfect place to pick up fresh produce.
From Yalikavak Dolmus station, you can catch the local bus to a variety of places or car hire can be arranged locally. You can explore a variety of different towns and villages on the Peninsula. In Gumusluk, you can dine on the beach at the fabulous fish restaurants, enjoying the beautiful sunsets over Rabbit Island. Turgetreis is the 2nd largest town on the Peninsula & hosts a huge market each Saturday. Chill-out on the beach in the laid back bays of Bitez or Ortakent or visit Golturkbuku – known as the St Tropez of the Bodrum Peninsula.
For family fun, in Bodrum there is a great waterpark and at the Oasis Shopping Centre, Bodrum there is a bowling alley, amusement arcade and cinema showing English films. Bodrum centre is also great for shopping as it has a large bazaar. A great place to visit on a hot day as there is plenty of shade and air-conditioned shops!!
History lovers should take a visit to St Peter’s Castle, Bodrum to view the underwater archaeology museum or arrange a trip to Ephesus, the largest & best preserved ancient city in Turkey.
An excursion to Pammukale means that you can combine the hot thermal springs of this white, calcium terraced mountain with the adjacent ancient site of Hierpolis. Another great day out is a visit the mud baths & stunning beaches at Dalyan combined with seeing the Lycian rock tombs & the remains of Caunos, dating back to 400 century B.C.
The fast ferry from Bodrum to Kos, Greece means that you can experience 2 countries during one day of your holiday. Alternatively there are lots of local boat trips which are a perfect way to cool down with the lovely sea breezes. These take you to different beaches and coves, offer amazing coastal views and usually include a fantastic lunch.
There are plenty of activities and excursions on offer in this area including tennis, scuba diving, water-skiing, windsurfing, golf, horse riding, jeep safaris, Turkish baths, plus much more!!

Bodrum Milas airport is only 45 min drive from the apartment. Directions from the airport to apartment are included in our comprehensive travel pack which you will receive before you travel.

Plus NEW off season flights are available for winter months of October-April directly into Bodrum airport with Goldtrail which makes this area an all year destination.
Alternatively Izmir and Dalaman are between 3-4 hours drive away.

Further details indoors: This is a new and modern apartment on a small and intimate development of only 8 apartments. It sleeps up to 6 (1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedroom, 1 sofa bed in lounge). The lounge and kitchen are open plan and are informally separated by a small peninsula unit (which provides a useful, extra kitchen surface). Both the lounge and kitchen open out onto the patio ... a great extension of your living area as you will probably spend a lot of time sitting out and dining al-fresco both during the day and in the evening.
In the well equipped kitchen you will everything you need for a self-catering holiday such as a large fridge/ freezer, oven and hob, microwave, kettle, toaster plus crockery, cutlery, serving dishes plus much more! A TV and DVD player (which also plays CD's) are provided for your entertainment in the lounge.
From the lounge, a charming arch leads to an inner hallway, off which there are 3 doors leading to bedrooms and a family bathroom with shower enclosure. The master double bedroom has an en-suite bathroom featuring bath/ shower wc and basin. Plus the second twin bedroom also has the convenience of an en suite WC and basin.
The owners have taken a great deal of care to create a home-from-home with attention to detail such as air-conditioning provided in the lounge and both bedrooms as well as mosquito nets being fitted on all windows. Additional equipment includes a washing machine, clothes airer, iron and ironing board as well as a vacuum and mop and bucket.
Further details outdoors: As this is a ground floor apartment, you can benefit from opening the patio doors from both the lounge and kitchen straight onto a beautiful patio/terrace area and views of the lovely pool and gardens.
The pool is for the sole use of only 8 apartment so it never feels crowded (unlike on some larger developments). It is a good size pool and even has a separate children's section so is perfect for all the family!
A table and 6 chairs are provided so you can sit and dine outside the apartment. This shady terrace area even has its own built in BBQ. For sunlovers, the apartment also benefits from a shared roof terrace which has splendid panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, mountains and even a glimpse of the sea can be seen through the trees!
The setting is very tranquil - perfect for rest and relaxation!! These apartments are set within a gated complex with lovely large gardens with well crafted stone walls and surrounded by fabulous fruit trees.
There is on-street parking adjacent to the apartments if you decide to hire a car.

As this apartment is on the ground floor, it is great for families with young children, disabled or elderly guests who do not want many steps in their holiday accommodation as there is only one low step before the entrance and the patio doors open out directly onto the terrace, gardens and pool areas.
This is a no smoking apartment however smoking is allowed outside the property. The owners please ask for all guests to respect this.
Please note that the CHANGEOVER day is FLEXIBLE to accommodate the different flying days from the UK and other countries.
We have a standard check-in time of 4pm and check-out of 10am however we will always try to be flexible around your flight times (subject to existing bookings) so please advise of flight times on your booking form. We will try to accommodate check-in/ out times around your flight times rather than sticking rigidly fixed check-in/out time. We appreciate that Turkey has a number of night-time flights and we want you to be able to get instant access to the apartment to get to sleep upon arrival and to be able to enjoy and make the most of your last day. There is nothing worse than a 10 am check-out if not flying until 3 am in the morning!!!
Conditions
Deposit of 25% of total rental price to be paid within 7 days of booking being confirmed. The remaining balance is payable 10 weeks before departure together with a security deposit of £100. The security deposit is banked and will be fully refunded within 28 days of return from holiday provided that there are no damages or breakages at the property, or any excessive use of power. If you fail to pay the balance when due, your booking may be cancelled.
Cancellation policy: More than 10 weeks prior to arrival: loss of deposit. 10-8 weeks prior: 50% of total rental rate will be refunded. 7-5 weeks prior: 25% of total rental rate will be refunded. 0-4 weeks prior: 0% refund.
Please note, if you are booking within 10 weeks of your departure date, this is classed as a late booking and the total rental amount is due within 7 days of the booking being confirmed.
Payment is normally only accepted in the quoted currency and is to be paid by bank transfer or cheque in £sterling. The approximate equivalent amounts are to be used as a guide only as all actual payments amounts and method of payment in alternative currencies are to be agreed in advance between the advertiser/ owner and the guest.
Once your booking is confirmed, the price is fixed and will not change. However, we reserve the right to change the published prices for new bookers during the holiday season depending on availability.
It is mandatory that you have your own personal travel insurance for all members of the travelling party which incorporates the duration of the stay. We cannot accept liability for any personal claims.

Segolen and Roco, September 2007: The pool is a lovely size and we spent most days between the pool and the garden plus there is also a roof terrace for sunbathing. The apartment is really lovely and comfortable – modern but in keeping with the local style and the kitchen had everything we needed for when we wanted to stay in and cook. The location is just the right distance from Yalikavak centre to be able to walk to the shops but far enough that at night you are not disturbed by any music or noise and during the day it is also extremely peaceful so you can forget where you are! We will definitely go again!!!
Judi Down and family, October 2007: We found the whole holiday to be a lovely experience and the children loved the pool. The apartment was clean and comfortable. It is well equipped for those who like to cook and we enjoyed some very pleasant meals on the veranda. This was very atmospheric as night fell with the lighting from the pool (usually with our children still in it). As the apartment is close to the centre of town, you can walk everywhere. The restaurants are plentiful and reasonable in price with the best food as always being found in the places favoured by the locals. The Turkish are very friendly and children were welcomed and fussed over everywhere we went. I would have no hesitation in recommending the apartment and Yalikavak to friends, in particular those with children!
