Home description
Gumusluk is protected due to it's ancient historical value, so you'll have to walk through the small artists market to get to the seafront and the fish restaurants that line it. Check out stalls selling beads and windchimes, watch potters work, or buy almost anything made of glass. Further down buy laid back flowing clothes, if you choose to indulge the inner hippie in you, or wade out to Rabbit Island to see the bunnies.
Back in the apartment, you'll find two double bedrooms and two single bed options in the living room, so the apartment is suitable for friends, couples and families alike and can sleep up to six people-the sofa is a single bed and there is a single air mattress too. The apartment is not priced per person, or according to season, so a group of six people staying for one week only pay £3.50 per person, per night! We have tried to make the apartment as equipped as possible to make your packing lighter so you'll find plenty of bath towels a tv and dvd player and speakers to plug in your digital music storage device (it uses a standard small headphone jack). We hope to add hairdryers and straighteners, beach towels and robes this year. On the complex you have access to a gym, sauna, 3 pools (kids pool, regular pool and a pool with a waterslide), a fully staffed cafe/bar run by some of the full time residents on the complex and free minibus down into Gumusluk. Or, you could just chill on the balcony and barbie-there's one built in!
When rural tranquility makes way for a raging night out-head into Bodrum, it's only 15 minutes away by car and caters for most tastes. There are restaurants to suit all pockets and everything from dingy rock bars and salsa clubs to Bodrum Marina Club, where anyone who is anyone in Turkey can be seen in it's four restaurants or bar and you might even spot a celeb! Bodrum also boasts "Europe's biggest open air nightclub", if foam parties are your thing-check out Halikarnos.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region
This place is smack bang in the middle of all of the classical action. If Turkey uncovered all of their historical sites, there would be no land left over for the agricultural industry! The Aegean Coast obviously shares much of the climate and cuisine you may already be familiar with if you have holidayed in the Greek Islands.
Bodrum / Gumusluk Village area
Bodrum was also a pit stop during the Crusades and it's castle was built by The Order of Saint John of the Knights Templar with the original purpose of being a hospital for Christian Soldiers. It's now a museum and also home to an albino peacock! We can arrange trips further afield for you to Ephesus the seaside port town where St. Paul lived after the cruxifiction and the location of his famous address to the pagans in it's amphitheatre. Paul spent two years on foot travelling there from Jerusalem to provide a safe haven for Mary and The Virgin Mary's House, now a church is located nearby. It is said that she lived there until her death. If history aint your thing you can shop, golf, drink, dance, climb, ride or just chill in this wonderfully versatile area.
How to get there
Fly to Bodrum BJV which is one hour away from your apartment location, door to door-we can arrange transfers. Check charter flights, package deals and budget airlines. You can fly to Istanbul with Easyjet from Gatwick and catch an internal connecting flight, for example. Other good airlines are Thomson, Thomas Cook, or First Choice. You can also fly to Kos and catch a ferry across (takes about an hour). There is a free minibus on complex to the nearest beach and village and local dolmuses run frequently and well into the night for a very reasonable price (about £1 per journey).
