Furnished in a modern Turkish style with ceramic floor tiles and air conditioning throughout, the apartment has been beautifully furnished and thoughtfully equipped personally by the owners.
Situated between the unspoilt fishing village of Gumusluk and the small town of Yalikavak with its windmills, and within easy reach of Bodrum Town, the apartment is ideal for exploring the surrounding area or just relaxing.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region
Gümüslük Gümüs is the Turkish word for Silver. Thanks to strictly enforced building prohibitions, the sea front has kept its original appearance and photogenic fishing village charm. This is the ideal spot for peace and quiet, with the added advantage of many excellent fish restaurants along the small waterfront, where you can sit comfortably next to the gently lapping sea.
Yalikavak Yalikavak is small, but busy village with a harbour where visiting yachts and fishing boats moor cheerfully together. The restaurants in the town centre and on the sea front are popular with locals and tourists alike. Here is little beach, but it's more comfortable to sit in a waterside cafe and watch the world go by. Several buildings have been tastefully restored in the town; a former water cistern has become a small art gallery and a former olive oil press is converted into a kilim showroom where visitors are welcome.
Bodrum The heart of the town is around the harbor, where shops, bars and restaurants jostle together in the narrow streets under the shadow of the St. Peter Castle . The main artery is Cumhurriyet Caddesi (Republic Street), much better known as bar street.

How to get there
Royal Blue is situated on the Bodrum Peninsula between Gumusluk and Yalikavak, 20 mins from Bodrum Town. There is a regualar dolmus (bus) service linking to Bodrum and the surrounding villages.
Fly to Bodrum - Milas (BJV) airport and hire a car or we can arrange a private transfer to Royal Blue for you.
There are regular Charter and low cost flights from London and regional airports plus scheduled flights from London via Istanbul.

Complete with marble worktops and high and low units, the kitchen is fully equipped if you fancy a home cooked meal using fresh ingredients from one of the markets. There is an extendable dining table and chairs in the kitchen and a set of chairs and a large table on the patio to give you a choice of dining areas.
The lounge area is furnished and has traditional turkish curtains, rugs and cushions. There are a selection of board games, puzzles and books available for your use. There is a drinks area with a sink and fridge. Two sets of sliding patio doors lead onto a west facing balcony with stunning views over the sea and surrounding countryside complete.
The master bedrooms both have a king sized bed and rugs and cushions finish the luxurious feel. The fully tiled bathrooms have an enclosed shower, toilet and wash hand basin. There is a plumbed in automatic washing machine in one and one is en suite with a twin bedroom.

The private shared garden is beautifully landscaped with fruit trees (banana, peach, apricot, olive, lemon, orange) and colourful shrubs. The complex grounds are lawned and have flower borders.
Large 18m x 8m swimming pool and children's splash pool. The pool area has sun loungers and tables and chairs for guests to use. There are also pool showers and toilet faclities.

Conditions
Strictly no smoking except on the balcony / roof terrace.
Refundable breakages deposit of £100 required, which will be refunded within four weeks of your return (subject to satisfactory property inspection). 25% of rental fee is required to secure your booking, balance payable 8 weeks before departure.
Cleaning and linen change at the end of your holiday is included in the price, however if you book for two weeks a mid term towel and linen charge is included in the price but not an apartment clean. Extra cleaning can be requested at extra cost.
Beach towels are not provided, please bring you own.

Royal Blue was a wonderful place to stay. The apartment itself is brand spanking new, contained all we needed and the view over the hills across to the ocean was spectacular particularly at sunset. There is lots of living space within the apartment and the pool in the complex was a welcome relief from the afternoon heat. Hilly, John & Avina made us very welcome and were very helpful in providing information about the area and in organising our airport transfer. It's a long steep walk up the hill to the apartment from the bus stop and a car would have been convenient - Jenni (Port Fairy, QU, Australia)
This was a great apartment with unbelievable views. Local transport to Bodrum and Gumusluck is frequent and affordable. Although the local transport to Yalikavak is not as frequent it is worth the wait. The food here is amazing and the locals are exceptionally friendly and hospitable. It was a last minute booking, and we got exceptional service and help. Friendly contacts both in the UK and Turkey, and no 'hidden extras' despite the fact that we also needed baby facilities.
