About the home

Interior designed by an Italian designer, this is a spacious, beautifully presented garden floor apartment located in an exclusive private complex near the centre of Bodrum. The contemporary furnishings are in natural woods and the apartment is fully air conditioned. The apartment boasts stunning views over the garden and swimming pool, and the hills beyond.

The master bedroom has a double bed, double doors leading onto the garden area, and an en suite bathroom. The second bedroom also has a double bed, and there is a separate family bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped with all modern appliances and there is a large wooden dining table and chairs in the dining area. The lounge has satellite TV and a DVD player and opens out onto the terrace which is well-furnished with a dining table and chairs. A special feature of this apartment is the beautiful garden and patio area with its sunbeds and dining furniture. This apartment truly is hard to beat, book this one NOW and avoid disappointment.

The entrance hallway leads to the adjoining living and dining area and the kitchen. The living room has a comfortable corner suite and two unique bamboo rotating chairs with cushions, a large bamboo coffee table, and a flat screen television with satelite and a DVD player. The stylish dining area can accommodate 6 people. Sliding doors open out to the terrace and beautiful garden area, with views of one of the complexes large swimming pools.
There are two spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. The Master Bedroom has a large double bed, bedside tables and plenty of wardrobe space. French doors also lead out to the garden area. It has its own en suite bathroom. The second bedroom has a double bed, bedside tables and a wardrobe.

One of the best features of the apartment is its terrace area and large landscaped garden. This is furnished with high quality garden furniture. Sunbeds allow you to develop your tan in the all day sunshine, with adequate seating in the shade if required.

The apartment is managed by Smile Property Management who will ensure the apartment is clean and prepared to a high standard prior to your arrival. They are available if you have any queries during your stay. Other apartments are available to rent on the complex through the Property Manager and should you wish your friends or a larger party to be accommodated , this can be arranged.

Bodrum is a town of many parts, sophisticated and fun, tranquil and hectic. Set on the harbour with its focal point of the beautiful St. Peter’s castle, and built by the Knights Templar, it boasts hundreds of bars and restaurants and a lively yacht club right on the water’s edge. This is a sophisticated haunt, encompassing different style restaurants, great bars and clubs with live music which plays into the early hours. Bodrum is also a cosmopolitan tourist destination of the 21st century, a playground suitable for all ages and bank accounts. During the summer months there is a jazz festival as well as numerous performances of music, dance and theatre.

Bodrum was the city of Halikarnassos in ancient times, an important port in the centre of the old world. Modern Bodrum is to Turkey, what Cannes is to the South of France. It is everything and anything you want it to be, historic, interesting, relaxing and lively.

An imposing Crusader Castle overlooks the harbor and the International Marina. When you have had enough of the many harbor-side bars, restaurants and historical sights, there is still a whole peninsula to explore. Mountains and green valleys, traditional villages and isolated beaches, all within view of the warm clear waters of the Aegean Sea.

A twice weekly market attracts people from the villages around Bodrum, adding another dimension to this popular resort. There are also many local markets in the villages around the peninsula including those at Yalikavak and Turgutries.

The Bodrum / Central Bodrum area

• Halicarnassos Mausoleum is Bodrum's oldest and most significant antiquity, given it's status as one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.

• The Castle of St. Peter is without a doubt the most prominent feature of the Bodrum landscape dating back to the medieval knights of St. John. Today the Castle is home to the Underwater Museum, exhibits include an ancient shipwreck and various other antiquities found in the area.

• Shopping lovers are spoilt for choice with Bodrum's many weekly markets. In the main resort, there is a fabric and clothing market on Tuesdays and food markets on both Thursdays and Fridays. Gümüslük and Ortakent both hold markets on a Wednesday, Yalikavak on a Thursday, Bitez on a Friday and Gümbet on Sundays. Turgutreis also has a Saturday market.

• Why not take advantage of Bodrum's alluring coast line by going on a daily boat trip, stopping off at secluded coves for a spot of sunbathing, swimming and snorkelling. Alternatively, in the area's maritime tradition, we can organise a private yacht charter from one of the many locally-based agencies.

• Take in stunning coastal scenery, lush woodlands and historic ruins that otherwise would be missed, by Exploring the Bodrum Peninsula on foot using one of the established Walking Trails.

• The Greek island of Kos is within easy reach of Bodrum by boat and is a popular day-trip with visitors to the resort. Services run daily throughout the summer months, departing at around 9am and returning in the late afternoon/early evening. The journey lasts approximately 50 minutes.

• Bodrum's prime position along the Aegean coast is ideal for Diving. There are numerous dive sites in the vicinity of the resort and the Peninsula. You can hope to see lobster, crayfish, barracuda, octopus, sea bass and shoals of sea bream to name but a few.

Also Within Reach:
- Pamukkale: Literally translated as "cotton castle", the amazing calcium rock formations should be seen to be believed. While in the area, it is worth visiting the nearby ancient city of Aphrodisias.
- Ephesus: This amazing ancient city can be reached in about 2 and a half hours by road making it easily accessible for a day trip.

“Quiet peaceful location, great views and lovely pool area. Car hire a must though” The plus points were the lovely view from the patio/garden out over the hillside beyond and down into Bodrum. The road at the back leading down into town took in the most amazing view of the pretty harbour and boats. The pool area was lovely and peaceful and well kept, we mostly had pool to ourselves as neighbouring apts were vacant during our stay . Our pre-arranged taxi transfer and access into the apartment were excellent. The downsides were we found the Davide location a little too remote for us without car hire, being up an extremely steep hill-top making for an uncomfortable walk down in high season, 'cardiac hill' and completely un-walkable upwards in high summer heat. We were many times intimidated by the very 'lively' Alsation guard dogs outside the pool office which were often not on a leash and also by the roaming dogs belonging to owner residents on site, this spoilt it for us and we chose to use the back-road to avoid them. Davide was large and roomy and had everything for our needs (family + 1 teenager) but would not quite class it as 'Italian luxury', just your very average beige/bland (I think the reference to 'Italian' is because the owner is from Italy) . Some of the thorn bearing shrubs were overgrown inside the apt garden pathway and would catch you when windy, and especially of nuisance was the large tree at the front gate entrance which we had to duck under its huge branches to gain access. We found out late into our stay that a minibus for (3TYL) operates near apt at hourly intervals (but not always reliable and very in-direct) for transfer to main bus station in town. All in all we enjoyed our stay in Bodrum, but compared to other resorts visited in Turkey (Olu-Deniz, Ovacik, Fethiye and Kakan) we found Bodrum in August to be very overcrowded and for the first time experienced some locals to be not as friendly. Would return but early/late season to beat the crowds.
