About the home

A beautifully furnished luxury detached 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom villa with private pool and gardens. The villa is situated in a superbly landscaped development at Gumusluk on the western tip of the Bodrum Peninsula. The villa commands fantastic sea views from both the balcony and terrace and the sunsets are spectacular.

The villa has a spacious living area with sliding patio doors leading onto a large terrace which overlooks the pool. Upstairs there is a double master bedroom with furnished balcony, a further double bedroom and family bathroom with bath and shower. Downstairs there is a twin bedroom, a further bathroom, a fully fitted kitchen and laundry room. There is air-conditioning throughout and heating to keep you warm in the cooler months. Outside there is ample space for relaxing, either on the terrace by the pool or within the landscaped gardens.

The villa is perfectly situated, within easy walking distance of the beach and renowned seafood restaurants of Gumusluk Bay.

Facilities

Further details indoors:
The living area is furnished with large comfortable sofas. A TV with satellite channels, DVD player and ipod docking station with radio are provided. The dining area includes a table and seating for 6.

There is a well equipped fully fitted kitchen. Facilities include fridge/freezer, dishwasher, full oven and hob, microwave, toaster, kettle and coffeemaker. There is a separate utility room with washing machine, clothes drier, iron and ironing board.

Upstairs there is one double master bedroom with furnished balcony and sea views. There is a further double bedroom also with sea views and a twin bedroom downstairs. All bedrooms are air-conditioned and fully furnished with fitted wardrobes in each.

There are two fully fitted bathrooms, one upstairs with basin, WC, bath and shower and one downstairs with basin, WC and walk-in shower.

There is air-conditioning throughout, and heating to keep you warm in the cooler months.

Further details outdoors:
There is a fully furnished terrace adjoining the living area with table, umbrella, BBQ and seating for 6, ideal for alfresco dining. The terrace overlooks the lovely swimming pool (10m x 4m) which is surrounded by spacious gardens and lawned areas where there are sunbeds for relaxing in the sun. There is a large furnished balcony upstairs, which is accessible from the main bedroom and furnished with coffee table, sofa and armchairs.

As well as a private pool, the villa also has access to 2 large communal swimming pools (approx 25m in length) and landscaped gardens. The site even has its own amphitheatre! The pool, terraces and walkways all benefit from external lighting and parking is provided adjacent to the property.

Wireless internet access is available for guests with their own laptop.

Access to the property is via a stone staircase which may not be suitable for people with mobility problems.

Further details

The property, pool and gardens are cared for by our managing agents and on-site maintenance personnel. They are easily contactable should you encounter any problems. There is also 24 hour on-site security.

The property will be prepared and cleaned ready for your arrival and a welcome pack is provided. A full weekly linen change is also included for stays of two weeks or more. Towels are provided but please use your own pool / beach towels.

A cot and highchair are provided for families with small children. There is no extra charge for these facilities.

Conditions

A non-refundable deposit of £100 will secure a booking, with the balance being due 8 weeks before departure.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

North of Bodrum, the Aegean coast is one long string of beaches and ancient ruins, most of them easily accessible via the fast coastal road. The ancient ruins of Ephesus are well worth a visit. The best preserved classical city in the Mediterranean, Ephesus will give you a feel for what life was like in Roman times. Experience the quiet beauty of Lake Bafa or take a dip in the secluded coves of Dilek National Park.

To the east of Bodrum Peninsula is the Turquoise coast a succession of dramatic views and dramatically sited ancient ruins. Drive over the mountains to Dalyan and visit the Lycian rock tombs and the ruins of ancient Kaunos. Nearby Iztuzu Beach is one of the last remaining nesting sites of the loggerhead turtle.

The greek island of Kos is only 4 miles away by ferry from either Bodrum or Turgutreis.

The Bodrum / Gumusluk Village area

The villa is perfectly situated in a beautiful area close to the pretty fishing village of Gumusluk. The village, with its beach and renowned seafood restaurants is easily accessible, within 15 minutes walking distance or 2 minutes by car. Gumusluk is a protected area, being built on the ancient city of Myndos. The ruins and mosaics are still visible in the shallow waters around Rabbit Island. The bay is ideal for snorkeling and there are other watersports facilities available from the beach. There are many pleasant walks in the local countryside. Climb the headlands around Gumusluk bay or walk up to Karakaya behind the villa.

Whilst offering the opportunity for a quiet relaxing holiday, the villa also gives easy access to the sights and attractions of the Bodrum Peninsula. Other villages on the Peninsula such as Turgutreis and Yalikavak, with their weekly markets, are easily accessible via Dolmus or car. Bodrum, with its imposing castle and harbour, is a 20 minute drive away and has all the facilities of a larger holiday resort. Even so, with its sugar-cube houses, it has retained its original charm. It has a smart new marina, sophisticated restaurants and some very expensive boats! The excellent museum of underwater archaeology at the castle of St Peter is a must. Around the peninsula there are beautiful villages, coves and beaches that have been barely touched by tourism. If you don't fancy driving, take a boat trip for a day and visit some of the bays and islands dotted around the peninsula. Day trips are readily available from Bodrum and Turgutreis.

For eating out there is no need to travel further than the village of Gumusluk. There are a number of excellent seafood restaurants alongside the harbour and beach.

Branches of the main Turkish banks can be found alongside the main road into Bodrum. ATM's can be found outside the banks, in Bodrum itself and in Turgutreis. Branches of the larger supermarket chains, such as Migros and Kipa can be found on the road into Bodrum and in Turgutreis which is a 15 minute drive away. The local mini-markets are very good, selling basics and plentiful fresh locally produced fruit and vegetables.

There are flights to Bodrum Milas airport from most UK airports. The flight time to Bodrum is approximately 4 hours. Easyjet and Onur Air offer scheduled flights direct to Bodrum all year round from Gatwick, Birmingham and Manchester. Charter airlines fly to Bodrum from most UK airports during the summer months (from May to October inclusive).

Flights with Easyjet can be booked via www.easyjet.com, Onur Air can be booked via www.aegeanflights.co.uk. Charter flights can be booked via flythomascook.com, www.monarch.co.uk, amongst others.

The property is a 60 minute drive from the airport. Car hire is available at the airport, although not essential. Transfers can be arranged if required.

“Wonderful Holiday!” This villa is one of the best we have stayed in - great accomodation, location and the pool was so good my daughters never bothered with the two larger communal pools on site (even thought they are great too). Opus Village is in a nice location with great views, and we visited nearby Yalikavak, Gumusluk & Golturkbuku, all with great places to eat & beaches. Opus Village itself is of a very high quality, with very helpful staff on hand (we only needed them to change the water in the cooler, but theres always someone around if you did need something else) Out only suggestion would be that if you want full freedom to visit places as you want then hire a car - we used a local company recommended by the owners of the villa called Proper Car located in Bodrum who will drop off a car at the villa if you don't fancy the drive from the airport & trying to find the villa after your flight (our transfers were arranged by the villa owners and everything went like clock work) All in all a fanstatic holiday and we will be looking to book again if we can!
