The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region
Yalikavak - originally a sponge diving village situated on the North West of the Bodrum peninsula where old traditions sit comfortably alongside the more modern lifestyle. The Town Centre itself around the small harbour with a handsome 300 year old windmill to one side, restaurants line the sea front and in the streets running back from the sea, grocery shops and fruit and vegetable shops nestle alongside an art gallery housed in an old water cistern and a kilim showroom in a former olive oil press. On the coast road towards Gumusluk is a very smart new yaght marina and a little further on there is a great selection of fish restaurants The main town beach is just a short walk from the centre.
Bodrum / Yalikavak area
The striking mosque with its two minarets stands on the hillside and watches over the village. Thursday is market day and villagers from nearby villages come to Yalikavak to stock up with fresh fruit and vegetables. There are numerous walks in the area, one of the best views must be from the small settlement of Geris perched at the top of a mountain and just a few kilometres from Yalikavak village centre, a local hike may find you stumbling on a derelict windmill, a deserted Greek village, Lycian rock tombs and even a temple dedicated to Zeus, a perfect picnic spot.
How to get there
The closest airport is Bodrum which is a 40 minute transfer to the villa and would cost circa GBP 40 by local taxi or if you would prefer to hire a car our housekeeper can make arrangements locally - please ask for the very competitive pricing.

There is a twin bedded room off the master bedroom - suitable for pre teen children. Air conditioning is provided in bedrooms and living area.
Further details outdoors: From the living area you enter onto a large marble patio around the infinity swimming pool with a glass topped table and chairs and luxurios ratan sunloungers, leading on to the lawned garden with palm trees and lovely planted borders. The garden is very attractively lit for evening al fresco meals The swimming pool has lights for night-time bathing. The kitchen and the 3rd Bedroom have their own patio areas for that early morning cup of coffee.

The changeover days are flexible. Guests are requested to depart the villa by 10 am and arrive after 4 pm
Conditions
To reserve your desired holiday dates please call Jean Spencer (owner) who will confirm availability. (0044 7909 530653) The villa is then booked in your name & a deposit payment of 20% of the cost is due immediately (non refundable). Ten weeks prior to your holiday departure the remaining balance plus a refundable damages deposit of GBP 200 is then due. On return from your holiday and given that the villa has no damage beyond reasonable wear & tear then the damages deposit is returned immediately and in full.
