The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region
It's not surprising that the site of Bodrum has attracted settlers for more than 3000 years when you consider the mild climate, cooling afternoon breeze and turquoise seas. And the people who live here today are friendly and full of fun. The centre and symbol of the town is St. Peter's Castle, which stands on a rocky promontory east of the main harbour with its palm tree-lined boulevard and myriad sailing boats. There is always plenty of activity in the streets of Bodrum and excitement-seekers will revel in the lively nightlife.
The Bodrum Peninsula is renowned worldwide to lovers of Watersports with excellent conditions for every type of activity from windsurfing to yacht racing. On land or sea there are many wonderful opportunities to make the most of your holiday whether your interest be Sea Fishing, Sailing, Walking, Horse Riding, Shopping or a Buzzing Nightlife. The abundance of Sightseeing Tours available include a Turkish Bath, Jeep Safaris, Daily Boat Trips, Daily Ferries to Kos & Rhodes in Greece enable visitors to take in two countries in one day.
In the 5km distant village of Yalikavak there is a lone windmill on the shore, near the harbour, where the local fishing boats moor alongside the visiting yachts with a narrow beach stretching in each direction. The restaurants in the town centre and on the sea front are popular with locals and tourists alike. It's so very easy to sit in a waterside bistro, sample the delights of the sea and watch the world go by!
The town centre itself is small and charming, with cobbled streets leading to the many cafes and restaurants. The central mosque is quite splendid for so small a town. Yal?kavak hosts the Bodrum Peninsula's most charming street market on Thursdays.
Yal?kavak has grown in size over recent years and is very much a place where the locals welcome foreigners with open arms. The area boasts a new marina that services yachts from all over the world.
Relatively untouched by the summer tourist trade, nearby Gümü?lük is beloved by many residents of Bodrum, for their Sunday fish lunch, winter or summer. The village remains largely unspoilt, due to a conservation order protecting the ancient site of Myndos, a lelegian city dated from around 500 BC, over which it is sited.

Excellent accommodation, modern and fully equipped. My balcony had sun all day with sunset views in the evening and over looked main pool area with its water jet slide. Shop, restaurant / bar, tennis court and numbers of pools throughout site. Wi fi available. Security controlled gated entrance with reception area. Helpful and friendly staff most of whom are English speaking. Frequent bus service to main town. Very enjoyable stay and will do it again..

"Fabulous Family Vacation!"
Lovely venue, such scenic views. Lovely comfortable apartment, large enough for family of 4, Mum, Dad and 2 small boys.
Swimming pools are varied and extensive, food in restaurant was great and the facilities were extensive.
We ventured out a couple of days into Yalikavak, the free transport was great and very regular but to be fair we never needed to venture out as we had all we needed there.

Myself and my family have spent to weeks on two separate occasions on this lovely perfectly formed complex. Very relaxing and very safe. The pool, restaurant and bar areas are great. Very clean and as we have 3 and a 1 year old , very safe . The apartment we stayed in was a 2 bed two bath which is great when you have children. There is a nice little town about 10 minutes on a bus (Yalikavak), with some great sea food and family atmosphere. Plenty of places selling food that the children will eat and the locals are very welcoming and freindly . The company we booked through arranged our pick up at the airport for a very reasonable cost. Planning on going again this September (2014) Highly recommend
