This extravagant and spacious brand new duplex apartment is ideal for families and couples alike wishing to rent a property in Turkey for a self-catering holiday with a touch of luxury. As you enter on the first floor level your breath will be taken away by the unobstructed panoramic sea view through the full glass frontage, looking out across the bay of Gulluk.

The covered area amounts to a total of 87 square meters with an external area/balcony of 15 square metres.

The first floor of the apartment is an impressive open living space comprising of a perfectly proportioned high tech modern kitchen, lounge and dining area. The large full height patio doors open up onto the spectacular private terrace with its stunning panoramic views of the bay of Gulluk. As you make your way down to the ground floor you will find two very comfortable double bedrooms complete with fully fitted wardrobes and full height patio doors which open onto the private garden of 30 square metres (323 square feet).

The main bathroom includes a built in shower cubicle and washing machine facilities. The master bedroom has a stylish en-suite bathroom complemented by his and her sinks and a full size bath with shower. Both bathrooms have European standard flush toilets and are of a very high standard seldom seen in apartments available to rent in Turkey.

This is no ordinary two bedroom apartment with the clever use of space and natural light meaning that the already spacious apartment has the feel of a property many times its size. The apartment is fully furnished and fully equipped by New Concept Interiors, including terrace furniture, upgraded integrated fridge/freezer and dishwasher, washing machine and other luxury items to make your stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible.

The main pool area is at the bottom of the complex, also in the area is a snack bar, mini market, grill restaurant, pool bar, outside dining, together with decking, sunloungers and parasols. The main pool is divided on two levels with waterfalls and a walk in area to the shallow end. A children's pool is separate and alongside the main pool and on the first level of the pool is the jacuzzi. A children's play area also close to the pool. There is a second pool located near to the top of the comple. If you are looking for a quieter sunbathing & relaxing area, then this is the spot for you. There is extensive communal landscaping throughout the complex featuring over 40 types of exotic plants, tress and shrubs which combine to ensure a tranquil, harmonious setting.

Conditions

Check-in and check-out times are flexible as are stays for less than one week where a day-rate will be calculated pro-rata. An additional fee of £50 is applicable to all bookings to cover cleaning and laundry on checkout.

A deposit of 25% is required by bill payment in to the following bank account to secure your booking. For bookings made within 4 weeks of rental, all fees are payable in full. All deposits are non-refundable.

A breakage bond of £100 will be required when you pay for your booking. The apartment will be checked by our agent for any damage/breakages. The bond will be refunded within 14 days after your departure.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

Horizon Sky is situated in the beautiful and historically protected area of ‘Iasos’ (pronounced ee-ya-sos) a region of Bodrum in the Gulf of Güllük. The area has much historical and cultural significance leading to stringent laws now curbing commercial interference and property development.

Horizon Sky is also located in close proximity of Bodrum International Airport, operating scheduled flights throughout the summer season. The resort is ideally located for air travel and just 25 minutes from Güllük by boat. Typical UK flight time is 3.5 hours approximately.

With the summer months having an average air and sea temperature in excess of 20 degrees, and an annual average rainfall of only 22 days, only 2 days of which are between June and September, you can be sure Turkey will live up to your expectations.

The town of Bodrum is steeped in culture, history and tradition, offering plenty to be explored. The castle town of Bodrum can be reached easily by boat from Horizon Sky to Güllük, a pretty and peaceful coastal village set below a picturesque mountain backdrop. The distractions are endless. You are never far away from a quick cool down in one of the many swimming pools or a chance to relax on the many sun decks and lounges that extend into the Aegean sea, overlooking the beautiful bay of Gulluk. It’s the perfect location to explore the spectacular west coast of turkey and the picturesque Bodrum Peninsula. So you can enjoy the perfect blend of Turkish culture and the cosmopolitan “Chic” lifestyle.

The Bodrum / Gulluk area

Bodrum - The castle town of Bodrum can be easily reached via water taxi to Gulluk, A 35min drive from Gulluk in either a taxi or the local dolmus bus will take you to Bodrum, a buzzing thriving, artisan community where tradition goes hand in hand with designer labels, jewellery and leather.

Iasos - 10 min drive - Visit the historic Roman buildings of Iasos, only a short taxi drive away.

The Castle of the Knights of St John: After the castle in Izmir was destroyed in 1402, the Ottoman Empire granted the Knights of Rhodes to build another elsewhere. The Knights of St. john used stone from the fallen remains of the Mausoleum and burned marble in pits to produce lime. Taking almost a century to complete, the castle remains one of the most intact relics of the era.

The Underwater Archaeology Museum

Thanks to efforts of Turkish and foreign scholars who carried out successful archaeological digs - both on land and at sea, the castle has turned into one of the greatest Underwater Archaeology museums in the world. The old Spanish Chapel now houses the famous Yassiada Wreck. The Glass Exhibition is stunning, displaying glass objects discovered at Serçe Limani and the hull of the ship.

The Myndos Gate

This entrance gate to Halicarnassus is thought to have been constructed in 360 BC. When Alexander the Great came to claim the city, he was unable to pass the deep, broad trench in front of the gate. When the gate was restored a couple of years ago, archaeologists found the remainders of the trench. Next to the gate there is a Turkish cemetery and some vaulted tombs from Hellenistic and Roman periods.

Turkish Cuisine: Eating out in Turkey offers infinite possibilities. In addition to those eateries offering traditional Turkish fare, one can find restaurants-a-plenty serving cuisine from all around the globe.

Local Specialities

Sampling the delights of the region's cuisine is in itself an adventure. "Must try's" include su böre?i (layers of filo pastry baked with cheese), köpo?lu (fried aubergine and yoghurt) and çiçe?i dolmasi (stuffed squash flower). For "fast food" Turkish style, the Döner ekmek (grilled lamb sliced and sandwiched in thick crust bread) and gözleme (savory pancakes) come highly recommended!

Don't forget to too sample the Turkish mint tea – thought to be one of the best ways of cooling down on a hot summer's day, and Raki – liqueur produced from anise. The latter is best consumed alongside a variety of meze.
