About the home

A luxury one bed penthouse which sleeps a maximum of 4, with a double bed in the bedroom and a double sofa bed in the lounge. One of the best views in the development, with a private jacuzzi on the terrace. There are stunning panoramic sea and mountain views from the huge terrace, which also contains 2 sun loungers and table and chairs. There is a restaurant and bar on site and also a shop for basic goods.

The resort has a free boat service to Gulluk, a fishing village with local restaurants and bars. There is a beach about 5-10 minutes drive away and a mini bus service to Milas (market day on Tuesdays), Bodrum (from Gulluk) and Iasos Village is a stroll away with some fish restaurants by the sea. It can be a peaceful getaway, lounging by the pool area or on the terrace, or one can hire a car and explore the beautiful beaches of Bodrum and surrounding areas, including the Roman ruins in Iasos.

Note that although there is still some construction required to complete the resort to its 5 star standard, construction has been halted for the rest of this year and holidaymakers can expect a peaceful and tranquil break.

Stunningly built to a very high spec and furnished tastefully by Eren Talu, Turkey's top architect and interior designer. The property is in Phase 2 and has an excellent location towards the top of the development. There are cars within the resort that can transfer you from the apartment to the boat for free. The apartment is extremely bright, with blinds on the roof of the private terrace that open up to allow you to sunbathe on the terrace and dip in and out of the private jacuzzi. White walls and flooring, soft leather suede L shaped sofa bed, black dining table and coffee table.

Restaurant serving a variety of dishes including fresh pizzas, breakfast, fresh fish, fajitas and meze throughout the day and evening, bar, shop, childrens play areas and heated swimming pools.

Welcome pack available at an optional charge of £5 consisting of a loaf of bread, orange juice, butter / jam / tea / coffee (order via the owner, pay directly to the resort). Please note that an additional charge of £50 for cleaning and £20 for rental check in/out (to be paid direct to the resort, no mark up by owner). Discounts available for bookings over 2 weeks. Note that although there is a free transfer service to the apartment from the boat, there are a number of steps to access the property, so it may not be suitable for parents with babies or very young children.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

Horizon Sky Beach Resort is situated in Iasos (pronounced eee-ya-sos), a beautiful and historically protected area in the Bodrum region near Gulluk. The area has much historical and cultural significance. The summer months have an average temperature in excess of 20 degrees, with an average rainfall of only 20 days.

The Bodrum / Gulluk area

Gulluk is a beautiful fishing village with some restaurants serving locally caught fish, vegetarian dishes and Turkish cuisine. There are also some supermarkets, banks, car hire places and local shops selling fresh local fruit and vegetables. The free Horizon Sky boat brings visitors into Gulluk and departs Horizon Sky at 09.00, 12.30pm, 16.00, 18.00, 19.30, 23.15 and 01.15. The timetable from Gulluk to Horizon Sky is at 08.15, 11.30, 15.00, 17.00, 18.45, 22.30 and 00.30.
A 35min drive from Gulluk will take you to Bodrum,a buzzing thriving, artisan community where tradition goes hand in hand with designer labels, jewellery and leather goods amid local street markets. There are various market days for textiles, fruit, veg etc in and around Bodrum.

Bodrum airport is closest. Direct flights from the UK with Monarch, Easyjet , Thomas Cook, Thomson and Aegan. From Bodrum airport, a taxi to Gulluk takes approximately 10-15 minutes (approx £12-16 and can be arranged) and then the free Horizon Sky boat service departs Gulluk frequently throughout the day (timetable available), with the last 2 boats leaving Gulluk at 22.30 (from 1 April) and at 00.30 (from May). The boat journey is pleasant and takes around 25 minutes. Alternatively, a round trip direct to the resort takes approximately 45 minutes each way and can be arranged for £50. Car hire is also available from the airport or from Gulluk (with a free transfer to Gulluk) for £17 per day.

“Beautiful Apartment with Stunning Views” To get from the main pool and bar area you need to walk up a steep hill then about 170 steps, which is why it has such fantastic views, but fortunatly there is usually someone available to take you... more

“Best Unit in the resort” If you are going to stay at Horizon Sky on your trip to Turkey this unit is the one to choose. The views are absolutely spectacular and the best in the complex. I was in several other units and this one has the best views hands down. If you want to stay at a resort where all the guests speak english on your visit to Turkey this is the place.
