"Outstanding villa with a fabulous pool and stunning views."
Once you have stepped through the doors of Green Hill House you will never want to leave! This is by far the most luxurious and spacious villa we have ever rented and the views were breathtaking. The description and photographs on the website are an accurate reflection but still don't prepare you for the 'wow' factor as you enter the villa and look out towards the bay. Booking through Darren was both quick and easy with Darren responding promptly to emails and going out of his way to accommodate us. We had night flights and he not only left welcoming drinks and breakfast for us, (he was staying at the villa the week before us,) but was flexible with a late check out, thus enabling us to have another full day at the villa. He did not charge us for the extra day, despite us offering. The villa was wonderfully clean and spacious, with 3 bedrooms on the ground floor, a living area on the first floor and a further 3 bedrooms on the 2nd floor. All bedrooms except the room with bunk beds face out to the sea and much to our relief, (having an active toddler,) there were retractable stairgates on every level. Beds were wonderfully comfortable and linen and towels plentiful. The villa was well stocked with essentials, and the policy of 'replace what you use' worked well for us. It was the first time we had been away as an extended family,3 generations, 4 couples and a toddler, but the spacious layout, en-suites to every bedroom and roof terrace ensured that all couples had space and privacy if desired. The terrace and BBQ area was well used throughout our stay as any meals at the villa were taken alfresco. There was drawer full of leaflets advertising local attractions, the only thing missing that we felt would have been helpful was an information folder with recommendations from previous guests.
The pool was splendid and we were often still swimming until 7pm. It was kept in excellent condition by Kadir who visited twice daily and was able to help with any queries we had. He would also arrange for the local supermarket to deliver large containers of water for the water cooler, a great asset, not mentioned in the rental details. Bottles, at just 5 TL, were delivered in a matter of minutes of us placing our order by a young man on a moped!
Torba as a resort is very quiet with only a few shops but a large selection of restaurants at the water's edge. We had some wonderful candlelit meals on little wooden jetties with the water gently lapping at the shore, and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They were very accommodating to the needs of a 2 year old.
We found the supermarket at the bottom of the hill was sufficient for all our needs, although there is a slightly larger one, Migros, a little further along the main road on the left. (Turn right at the bottom of the hill.) The one advantage of this supermarket is that it is next to a fabulous bakery/patisserie! Both supermarkets will phone for a taxi if asked. There was also a road side fruit and veg stall on the way to the seafront that sold excellent produce.
Bodrum was just a short bus ride away, with the local dolmus running from the bottom of the hill frequently. We never had to wait longer than 5 minutes and the fee of 3 TL per person was very reasonable. The drivers were very relaxed about taking payment and money would be passed along the bus in a very informal fashion! If we had been fortunate enough to stay for a second week we would have hired a car to visit some of the local beaches, but as the villa and pool were so relaxing, and the view so wonderful, it was difficult tearing the family away.
We did fit in a visit to Kos, ( wonderful beach and castle ruins,) had a fabulous boat trip (without the 2 year old) and spent a day at the water park, (be aware that the concrete gets extremely hot.) All trips were arranged by the local Torba agent, Danny Devito (!) who went out of his way to accommodate us, even driving us himself to the local pick up point for the water park.
The road to the villa was steep, but for our family it was not a problem and an excellent way to burn off those extra calories. For our extended family members it was a little more challenging, so they would take a taxi each time, along with any bags and ensure cold drinks were waiting for us at the top. Incidentally, do not be surprised if passing cars stop to offer you a lift. We declined offers to get into unfamiliar cars only to discover later that the drivers were Kadir, the pool man and our neighbours!
Green Hill House was ideal for a relaxing family holiday with excellent facilities, a fabulous pool and superb views. We would all thoroughly recommend this villa to others.

"A beautiful and relaxing holiday, Villa is spacious with amazing views."
Fantastic villa. It was perfect for 2 families like us as we had a floor each and shared the communal area. It is very spacious with plenty of facilities and the pool is great. Loved the amazing views especially from the rooftop terrace, sipping a cold beer!
It is at the top of a steep hill so you need to be fit to walk to the local supermarket at the bottom of the hill and the local restaurants although some deliver direct to the villa .Also the Dolmus to Bodrum runs frequently and is cheap as Torba is fairly quiet but has a good selection of restaurants.
We had a fantastic and relaxing holiday and the kids loved having the pool to themselves and being able to use it at night when it is all lit up.
