About the home

Our 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom lovely, newly renovated, fully air-conditioned villa sleeps 6. It is situated in a small complex on the hill overlooking the Bitez Marina and Bay and is furnished in a modern and luxurious style with Internet access. Bitez has something to offer any discerning holiday makers, young or old.

Bitez is a small resort, approx 7km from Bodrum, set in a wide bay with a sand and shingle "Blue Flag" beach and shallow waters ideal for swimming. There are free sun beds, loungers and a children's play ground. Sports and fun-enthusiasts are well catered for as a wide variety of water sports are available- windsurfing, water skiing (with or without instructions) ringos, banana and paragliding across the bay. There is also a tennis club where courts can be booked by the hour and coaching. A golf course is about 40 minutes away.

Whether you are on the beach relaxing, taking a stroll, or, for the more energetic, taking a bike ride in the countryside, Bitez has something to offer everyone, young or old, . The marina is only 5 minutes walk from the villa, and the main beach area, with its free sun beds and wide choice of bars and restaurants, is only a further 5 minutes stroll.

Energetic souls can try their hand at windsurfing, waterskiing, scuba diving, sailing, yachting, paragliding, or having fun on the ringos/banana. Biking, horse riding and tennis are also available. Bitez is a tranquil alternative to nearby Bodrum and Gumbet, and Villa Lou provides the perfect base.


You can plug your I-pod into the speaker dock and chill out watching the yachts and listening to your favourite tunes on the BBQ terrace with a cold beer or glass of wine.

Each bedroom has its own terrace with seating ( sunbeds on the top floor) and with extensive sea views over the marina.

En-suite bathroom: modern design with power shower, wash basin and toilet.
Main bathroom: large modern design with bath, power shower, WC and basin.
Third bathroom: with power shower, wash basin and toilet.

Kitchen – well equipped modern kitchen with breakfast bar, washing machine, dishwasher, Iron and ironing board, convection microwave, fridge/freezer, plenty of storage, Kettle, toaster, complete with cutlery, crockery, glasses, dishes etc.

Lounge/dining room – well equipped with air-con, comfortable leather settees, coffee table, TV, satellite, DVD, CD/radio player, i-pod docking station, Wi-Fi, a selection of books, dining room table and modern chairs.

The lounge leads to the large terrace which is equipped with outdoor furniture (table and chairs) and a large barbecue- the view over the bay of Bitez and the marina is outstanding. Each bedroom leads out to a terrace with seaviews over the Bitez bay .

Each bedroom, as well as the lounge, leads on to a terrace with panoramic views and nothing is more relaxing than a glass of wine while watching the sun go down over Bitez Bay and the surrounding countryside.

Bitez is an all year round resort, a fabulous place to take a holiday whether in- or out- of season –with so much to see and do. This makes it so special for all the holiday makers, and, perhaps explains why people return year on year.

All linens are provided during your stay. Beach Towels are provided. Bath Robes are provided for use in the house. Complementary toiletries provided.
Chef service, cleaning and maid service during your stay can be arranged at additional cost.

£300 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking,
The balance is payable 6 weeks prior to arrival. A refundable damage/deposit of £300 is required at time of full payment and this will be returned following a check out inspection for damage by our agent. Last minute/late bookings are to be paid in full at the time of booking. Payments should be made by bank transfer unless otherwise agreed.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

The Bodrum peninsula is situated in south-western Turkey, surrounded by the azure Mediterranean Sea, with numerous beautiful coves and small scenic ports.

Turkey has one of the best cuisines in the world, and the Bodrum peninsula offers great opportunities of exploring these culinary skills in both small family-owned local establishments as well as larger five star restaurants.

Bitez has something to offer any discerning holiday makers, young or old.
There is an excellent choice of bars and restaurants offering both international and traditional Ottoman cuisine with good friendly service at reasonable prices within walking distance.

Shopping lovers are spoilt for choice with Bitez and Bodrum's many weekly markets and the Bodrum Oasis Shopping Centre with designer shops, banks and restaurants. Larger supermarkets are about 15mins away and can be reached by Dolmus or taxi.

There are daily boat trips from both Bodrum and Bitez marinas stopping off at secluded coves for sunbathing, swimming and snorkelling and yachts can also be chartered from the Marina.

The Greek island of Kos is within easy reach of Bodrum by boat and is a popular day-trip with visitors to the resort.

There are numerous dive sites in the vicinity of the resort and the Peninsula and dives can be arranged from the Dive ship in the Bitez Marina.

There are beautiful walking trails around Bitez, both coastal and inland, where the stunning coastal scenery, woodlands and historic ruins can be enjoyed.

Not to be missed is a visit to the Hammam – the Turkish bath – the scrub and soap massage – then follow it up with an oil massage and feel more relaxed than you ever thought possible.

In addition there are diving courses, jeep safaris, horse-back riding, river-rafting and Aquaparks and car rental will allow you to explore even further.

The Bitez marina is the best place to take an afternoon drink -enjoy the breeze across the bay and watch the wind-surfers perform - then later take a sundowner on the terrace and watch the magnificent sunset over the hills as another day ends and the night life begins.

The Bodrum / Bitez area

Bitez is an ideal base for touring or day trips.

Bodrum - St Peter's Castle - dating back to the 15th Century - approx 15 minutes by dolmus from Bitez.
Turgutreis and Yalikavak - fabulous marinas and weekly markets (Saturday and thursday) -1 hour by dolmus.
Gumusluk - site and ruins of ancient city of Myndos -1 hour by dolmus.
Ephesus - Temple of Artemis - 3 hour drive.
Pammukale - UNESCO site- Calcium Pools - 3 hour drive.
