Beautiful, high quality new air conditioned penthouse apartment in small, private complex with large shared pool , children's pool and landscaped gardens in elevated natural setting. Living room (with corner style suite/sofa bed), open plan well-appointed kitchen/diner, 1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedroom, large balcony with excellent views across countryside to the sea, bathroom with WC, bath & shower over. Take breakfast on the balcony watching the many birds, explore the gardens with its lizards and butterflies. Ideal for couples and families who want a quiet location for a relaxing holiday, but with resort facilities close by. Bodrum can be reached in 30 minutes by bus, Yalikavak and its many quality restaurants, market, marina and shops in 5 minutes by bus or taxi. Cash point and excellent Migros supermarket is only 500m away.
Resident site caretaker for security, maintenance and assistence.

Air conditioning is present in living room and bedrooms. Apartment fitted out with everything that will make you feel really at home. A library of CDs has been left and some DVDs. Freeview satellite receiver and mini hi-fi. Playstation 2 and a few games left for children.
There are also other items such as hair straighteners & heated hair rollers for your convenience.

Further details outdoors:
Loungers and parasol provided for the pool-side. Large garden cushions for relaxing on the balcony or garden are also provided. Coolbox for pool-side refreshments.

Disabled access may be difficult due to steps and elevated position - care should be taken with young children on the balcony.
20% deposit required on booking
£100 refundable good houskeeping deposit required - a £50 apartment cleaning fee will be deducted from this if the apartment is not left in a clean and tidy condition.
Welcome packs, airport transfers and cleaning (during and post stay) can be arranged in advance by request.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

The Bodrum Peninsula boasts a perfect Mediterranean climate with low humidity. The long, extended summer runs between May and October with reliable weather and rain virtually unheard of. Summer temperatures range from the mid 20°Cs at the beginning and end of the season, up to the mid 30°Cs in the hottest months of July and August. Winters tend to be mild with some sun, and occasional showers and it is not unusual to be able to swim in the sea even in November.

Lycian and Roman ruins can be found throughout the region and include sites such as Ephesus, Didyma and the beautiful rock tombs at Dalyan. Natural wonders such as Pumukkale and the mud baths and hot springs at Dalyan can also be experienced.

The Bodrum / Yalikavak area

All your self catering needs can be satisfied within Gokcebel, but a short bus or taxi ride will take you to Yalikavak with its harbour, market, new Marina (festivals, concerts and films during the main holiday season), shops, cafes, bistro and seafront gardens. The small town of Yalikavak still supports a thriving fishing industry and has numerous restaurants lining the harbour and beaches. The small picturesque harbour is surrounded by some excellent restaurants and bars, and while there is the occasional disco bar, the general atmosphere is quiet, unhurried and relaxed. There are many shops in the traffic free centre, and every week the town hosts a fruit, vegetable and clothing market.

Just beyond the harbour is located the beach, and other beaches are accessible by buses from the bus station. Local buses and taxis run very frequently making Bodrum and the rest of this peninsular’s varied historic and tourist sites accessible within 30 minutes - the ideal place to relax and unwind. Bodrum is a shoppers paradise and has a vibrant nightlife with an incredible number of bars, discos and clubs. Bodrum castle is deffinitely worth a visit, and hosts many festivals, concerts and art displays. There is a water park on the outskirts of Bodrum and ferries can be taken to the island of Kos from Bodrum harbour. Boat trips and outings to Dalyan, Ephesus, Bodrum and other places of interest can be organised by local travel agents who will pick you up from near the apartment. Cars can also be hired in Yalikavak which will allow you to explore the many bays and smaller villages. A useful link for information regarding the area of Yalikavak is www.yalikavak.co.uk.

Flights to Bodrum airport (bjv) are available from many low cost airlines e.g Thomas Cook, Thomsonfly, Jet2 etc from almost all UK airports. Brokers such as A1Travel and Cheapflights.co.uk are very useful for finding flights. Yalikavak and Gokcebel are 30miles from Bodrum airport and transfer time is approximately 45mins. Taxis are available from the airport, but transfers using local travel agents can be prearranged with the owner at a cost of approximately £30-35 each way for 4 persons which may be cheaper than the airport taxis. Gokcebel is a small village just before the resort of Yalikavak.
