The bedrooms are furnished with a double and twin beds and are perfect for couples, families or friends sharing. The resort is a particular favourite with golfers playing on Vita Park Golf Resort just 10 minutes by car from the apartment. Each room has storage space and bedside tables with reading lights. The curtains are light and fully in keeping with the décor in the rooms. The master bedroom and lounge lead out to the patio.

The kitchen is integral with the living area (this is open plan) which is ideal for preparing food while keeping an eye on the kids and interacting with friends and family. We have provided everything you will need to make your stay a home form home should you wish to prepare serve food in the apartment. You can also choose to eat inside or outside on the terrace or on large rooftop terrace with superb panoramic views of Lake Tuzla and the Bodrum countryside.

Anemon 13 is set amongst landscaped gardens with communal pools, gardens and public areas to enjoy. The views from the large private terrace are lovely. Here you can enjoy outdoor living to the full while marvelling in the superb views of both lake and mountains. The meandering pathways lead you to the resorts central amenities (clubhouse, bar and restaurant, shop, indoor pool, sports areas etc) and to the cliff side where you have panoramic views of Gulluk Bay, the Aegean Sea and the headland beyond.

In the near distance you can just see Vita Park Golf Resort, Bodrum's first professional quality golf courses including the Milas-71 pay, a play course which is modelled on a Scottish Links style golf course. The greens hug the lake side offering spectacular views of rare wild fowl such as flamingos and pelicans which stop off on the lake during October to April.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

Turkey's Aegean coast is beautiful, historic and agriculturally rich. The most spectacular of the classical sites are along the Aegean Coast, stretching from the northern border with Greece south to Bodrum. The treasures include the 3,000-year-old ruins of Troy, made famous by the poet Homer; the ruins of the fabled city of Pergamum, on its windswept hilltop; and the magnificent temples, colonnaded streets, and the theater in Ephesus.

This is the heart of what was once known by the ancient Greeks as Asia Minor, an area that's been drawing visitors since the time of, well, Homer. Izmir, a busy port town that is Turkey's third-largest city, is a good gateway for exploring the area, with regular flights to and from Istanbul and some European destinations. Near Izmir is the Çesme peninsula, home to some lovely sandy beaches and the cobblestoned town of Alaçati. The area's heavyweight attraction, though, is the Roman city of Ephesus, with its well-preserved amphitheater and library.

In this region are also the less-visited, though still impressive, ruins of the ancient cities of Didyma, Miletus, and Hierapolis. For a taste of up-to-date Turkey, head to Bodrum, which is getting the reputation of being the St. Tropez of Turkey with its profusion of seaside restaurants and swank cafés and nightclubs, visitors can get strong doses of sun and (mostly sophisticated) fun.

During the period October to April, Lake Tuzla is home to 1000's of migrating and local wildfowl. These included flamingos and pelicans as well as many rare and beautiful birds and mammals. Lake Tuzla is a national reserve and is protected by the Turkish government. Flamingo Country Club is just one of four resorts situated in this beautiful location, all available for you to explore and enjoy.

EATING OUT
There are various restaurants to choose from in the sister resorts to Flamingo (Turquoise, Lakeside Garden and Royal Heights), all within walking distance, and there are many and various restaurants and bars in nearby Guvercinlik, Bogazici and Gulluk. Just outside of Flamingo there is the aptly named Ocean View and Sunset Cafe - both ideal places to wind down after a hard day at the beach club. There are also various small beaches nearby with facilities open to tourists, not forgetting of course your very own beach club and clubhouse on the resort itself. All serve food and drinks during the day and some even into the late evening.

GETTING THERE FROM THE AIRPORT
Flamingo Country Club is just 15 minutes from Bodrum-Milas International Airport - for groups of four or less just pickup a taxi outside the airport arrivals hall, the journey costs around £25 depending on the exchange rate. For larger groups, or if you prefer to have a pre-defined pick-up arranged, we can arrange a transfer to and from the airport through our approved agents. Which ever you choose, the taxi / bus will take you straight to your accommodation . Within 45 minutes of arriving in Turkey you could be enjoying that first glass of wine or beer.

GETTING AROUND
Bodrum, just 40 minutes away along the beautiful coast road is today a major centre for tourism and yachting as well as a bustling cosmopolitan town steeped in history.

Set around a beautiful harbour - you can see Kos clearly from the quayside, the city was originally called Halicarnassus of Caria in ancient times. Along the harbour you can enjoy fine food and wine in a relaxed environment with the majority of the restaurants and bars serving food alfresco. The harbour side in Bodrum is home to millions of pounds worth of yachts (more commonly called gullets) as well as more humble craft and water taxis. You can take a water taxi to various locations including many of the hotels which overlook the harbour.

As the major town on the Bodrum peninsula it is also the hub for the local Dolmush which can transport you at virtually no cost to almost anywhere on the peninsula. Even the furthest journey will cost less than £2 at today's prices.

THINGS TO DO
There are many things to do on the Bodrum peninsula from playing golf (Vita Park Golf Resort - a pay and play course - is just 10mins drive from Flamingo Country Club, splashing around in the wonderful aqua park at Ortokent, visiting the heaving shops and markets in Bodrum Town and Turgutreis where many bargains are to be had, Yalikavak with it stunning sunsets, Scuba Diving and Wind Surfing in Bodrum and Bitez and much much more. You'll need several holidays here to see it all.

LOCAL HISTORY
Bodrum Castle, built by the Crusaders overlooks the harbour and the International Marina. The castle grounds includes a Museum of Underwater Archaeology and hosts several cultural festivals throughout the year. The castle is open to visitors and is a superb example of 11th century design and engineering. From the castle you have stunning views of the town and out to see toward Kos.

Flamingo Country Club is the premier holiday resort on Lake Tuzla, Bodrum with excellent air links to all major European and UK airports. The closest airport to the resort is Milas-Bodrum International Airport, just 15 minutes by car or taxi to the northeast of the resort. This airport serves the Bodrum peninsula with direct flights from May to October and indirect flights via Istanbul all year round making Flamingo Country Club accessible for 365 days of the year. Due to the fact that the resort is located on a wild life reserve, flights do not pass directly over the lake which maintains a peaceful tranquillity throughout the year.

All major tour operators, including Thomas Cook and Thomson service Bodrum and Easyjet started flying in in 2009.

You can also reach the Flamingo Country Club resort by car from the airport at Izmir (about 3 hours to the north) and from Dalaman, about 2 hours to the east. There are also regular ferries to and from Kos and Rhodes during the summer months making it possible to fly to Kos and then travel to Bodrum via ferry.

There are many low cost care hire companies on the Bodrum peninsula with rates from as low as £18 per day and the local taxi and Dolmush (Turkish buses) are common place and cheap.
