About the home

Horizon Sky Beach Resort is an award winning resort across the bay from Gulluk and Bodrum. Facilities include numerous swimming pools (one quiet pool with great views just metres from the apartment), jacuzzi, fitness centre with gym, sauna, steam room etc, childrens play area, shop, bar and restaurant (open from 9am until late at night). Poolside refreshments. Private beach and Club House to also be completed for 2013. Alternative Beaches five minutes walk with loungers and traditional Turkish beach cuisine.

The garden apartment has one bedroom with sofabed sleeping up to additional 2 people (maximum 4 persons). Contemporary and stylish facilities include open plan fully fitted kitchen with granite corian worktop, dining and living area with sofa bed, bedroom with built in wardrobes, bathroom, wi-fi, TV with all international channels (including English speaking), DVD Player, iron and hairdryer. Private garden terrace with furniture all furnished and decorated to highest standards. Endless sea views from apartment.

Nearby the resort is the village of Iasos with ancient city ruins. Gulluk has restaurants, bars and cafes, bakeries and supermarket and is a complimentary boat ride away. The boat service operates all day from April to November. Gulluk has a marina from where you can take boat trips some which may colect you from Horizons Skys jetty. A bus or "dolmus" ride away from Gulluk is the town of Bodrum where you can find nightlife or a ferry for a day trip to the Greek Islands.

In 2013 there will be a brand new Club House and Private Beach and Beach Bar. Tennis courts and a multi sports court will be available from the summer of 2013. Horizon Sky resides on the beautiful Aegean Coast in the desirable region of Bodrum. Known to many as the St Tropez of Turkey, Bodrum is located on the South Coast and is a tourism hotspot with magnificent beaches, large selection of shops, glamorous bars and restaurants and cultural attractions. Turkey is incredibly cheap place to holiday once you get there!

The Bodrum / Gulluk area

GULLUK, NEAR BODRUM
Gulluk is colourful town with a marina (with yacht and boat trips) and some fine prom restaurants, bars and al fresco eateries, shops and traditional Thursday market. The area is surrounded by the Aegean Sea and the spectacular west coast is famed for the picturesque Bodrum Peninsula. It is a place of natural beauty and golden beaches. Great for beaches, boat trips, diving, snorkelling, water park, swimming with dolphins nearby and only 45 minutes boat trip from the Greek Islands (trips available from Gulluk). It is also close to two 18-hole golf resorts on Lake Tuzla.

BODRUM
Bodrum mixes ancient Turkish heritage with modern living. It can be reached easily by water taxi from Torba which is a pretty and peaceful coastal village set below a picturesque mountain backdrop. Alternatively a 35 minute drive from Guluck will take you to buzzing Bodrum with its castle, designer label shopping, street markets and great cuisine. Local transport very cheap from Gulluk to Bodrum and easily reached.

Bodrum also has a marina for boat rentals as well as daily or longer cruises covering the Turkish Coastline. You could also take the hydrofoil to Greece.

Sample the delights of the region including fresh figs, lamb kebabs and mint tea. Su Boregi; layers of filo pastry baked with cheese, Kopoglu; fried aubergine & yoghurt, Turkish balloon bread with meze, local drink Raki which is a liqueur produced from anise.

“The apartment was amazing, the holiday was perfect” The whole resort was lovely and very modern. The apartment was very stylish and up to date and everything was perfect. the staff were very accommodating to our needs and as a result made our holiday more relaxing and enjoyable. Caitlin helped us with planning and booking our holiday and was very organised and would reply to us within a day, she helped us with our whole holiday not just booking the apartment. overall it was an amasing holiday and everything fell in to place, already planning to revisit next year
