About the home

UNIQUE APARTMENT BLOCK WITH PRIVATE & COMMUNAL POOLS. Dine alfresco on the terrace, and enjoy absolutely stunning sunsets, views of the sea, and the Greek Islands. This 2 bedroom apartment is situated on a small quiet complex and is set within a block of 4, with private, and communal pools. SPECIAL OFFER - £250 per week on all remaining weeks in May, June and July.

The nearest beach, supermarket and Dolmus (bus) is just a 10 minute walk down the hill. The beach has a restaurant, lounge cocktail bar, swimming pool and riding stables. Just a short stroll along the beach, canoes and windsurfers can also be hired for a small fee.

There are a number of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. The bar at Victoria's, situated on our local beach, has themed food nights and live music. Limon, on the main road, is a gourmets delight, with spectacular views and sunsets, but you will need to book to get in.

The apartment is ideally situated in the hills just a 5 minute drive from the famous fishing village of Gumusluk (Myndos), and many other fantastic resorts, each retaining their own individual character. Yalikavak, 10 mins, Turgertreis 10 mins, Bitez, 20 mins and Bodrum 25 mins.

The apartment itself boasts a large balcony with stunning views and sunsets, as well as a roof terrace. It has a solid teak table for 'al fresco' dining, and seating for up to 10 people. There is also a BBQ near the pool for your use.

The lounge/kitchen is open plan and has a large corner suite which folds out into a double sized bed settee for extra sleeping arrangements. It is furnished to a high standard, and the kitchen is fully equiped.

Both the double bedroom and twin have large wardrobes with plenty of storage space. They each have a dressing table with mirror above.

As well as satellite television with various news and entertainment channels, including the Disney channel, there is a wide slection of books, movies, a flat screen TV, and an IPod docking station for your use.

The block boasts a lovely private garden with bougainvillea trailing from the balcony and pool terrace. There are 8 sun loungers dotted around the pool for your use. The Infinity Communal Pool also has sun loungers and a small splash pool suitable for children. There is however, no guard railing around the pools and children swimming and playing around the pools should be supervised at all times.

There is plenty of parking directly behind the block, giving easy access into the apartment when bringing in luggage/shopping etc.

Linen and towels (not beach towels) are provided. A 24 hour helpline, with an English speaking representative, is on hand to answer any questions. A welcome pack gives important information about the local area, useful telephone numbers, things to do and see, what to do in an emergency, as well as local customs and laws. The pools are open from 1st May - 30th October.

The changeover day is flexible, depending on other bookings. The apartment is available from 4pm on the day of arrival, and check out is by 12 noon on the day of departure.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

The South West coast of the country is one of the most spectacular holiday destinations in the Mediterranean. It offers fantastic scenery, as well as warm weather and it is astonishingly rich in historic sites.

This region of Turkey has become a gateway to world tourism, with its clean beaches, as well as its numerous resorts and many choices for entertainment.

The Bodrum / Gumusluk Village area

The Bodrum peninsula has 5000 years of history, and the ancient historic sites and monuments are well worth a visit .

Gumusluk (Myndos) is the western most point on the Bodrum Peninsula and is considered to be one of the most desirable and historical areas to visit. The apartment is less than a 5 minute drive away, where Roman remains can be found beneath the sea. There are many fantastic seafood restaurants dotted along the beach where you can relax over a selection of Meze and a bottle of wine or a cold beer. A variety of water sports are also available for you to try or just relax on a sun lounger and enjoy the sun.

Turgertreis, a large marina resort and upmarket Yalikavak are only a 10 minute drive away in either direction, where you can hire a Gullet and go sailing around the beautiful coast line. Bodrum Town Centre can be reached within 25 minutes with its magnificent castle, roman ampitheatre, internationally acclaimed marina and exclusive shopping. Both Bodrum and Turgertreis have daily cruises to visit the Greek islands of Kos and Rhodes, with duty free purchases available. Each resort has its own character, market day, night-life and entertainment options, including yachting, cruising, and other water-sports.

Within easy distance of the apartment, there is a water park, golf, horseriding and the local Turkish Bath. Many of the day excusion companies will pick you up from the apartment for your added concenience should you choose not to have a hire car.

The most cost effective way to find cheap flights to Turkey is through www.skyscanner.net. It's fast, easy to use and searches 600 plus airlines looking for the cheapest fares, including charters and easyjet. You can search all prices across a day, a month or a year.

The local airport is Bodrum international (BJV) . Flying time from UK is approximately 3.5 - 4 hours.

The apartment is located about 55 kilometres from Bodrum Airport. The drive takes approximately 50 minutes, and is very scenic and a wonderful introduction to Turkey. It includes a long stretch along the coast, stunning views of Bodrum and the Crusader castle and finally glimpses of a bygone Turkey as you climb the hills that form the spine of the peninsular and make your way towards Gumusluk. Car hire or airport transfers can be arranged on request.

You are usually out of the airport in less than 30 minutes - don’t forget £10 in sterling per person for a visa which you obtain at the airport. You will also need a full UK passport with 6 months validity.

“Fabulous & Relaxing” We booked both apartments for a family holiday of 10 people. The apartments were immaculate, clean & extremely well presented. We called Musa when we arrived (0530) and he came to unlock the apartments within 5 mins and helped with the bags. There are books and DVDs available if you stay in, also there's a washing machine so no need to take dirty clothes home!, a real home from home! The views are absolutely stunning! The pool a big bonus as its your own! Although the communal pool was quite near. The grandchildren said it was the best holiday ever. Dining al fresco while watching the sun set was the pinnacle. A car IS advisable because of the hills, however, we walked down the hill to Musa's shop, the beach (visit Victoria's) or the bus stop where we went into Turgurtreis to Kipa (Tesco) and got taxis back, which were surprisingly cheap. I get quite nervous driving in a foreign country (they drive on the wrong side!) plus they whip in and out, so taxis were the thing for us! (plus I didn't have to be the nominated one when visiting the bars at the seashore) The bars/restaurants are very happy to book your taxis for you (even Kipa did!) Gumusluk on market day was a treat, the bus makes a main stop here, also there are many shops & restaurants to choose from which Myndos Restaurant is highly recommended. This is also where you will find the ATMs, but shops change GBP to TL too at a very reasonable rate. We also walked over to Rabbit Island. There are boat trips every day leaving at 1100 until 1800 which gives you lunch and tea and cakes. Overall it was a fabulous week, which went far too quickly, wished we'd stayed longer, and we highly recommend these apartments to anyone. “Just Fabulous” What an amazing apartment, it was truely lovely with fabulous sunsets every night, the apartment has everything you need for a home from home, very tastefully presented, can't wait to go back. 2 weeks just went too fast.

“Back to visit a piece of Heaven!” This was our second Visit to Gumusluk this summer! I cannot expressive enough how friendly the locals are and what excellent value for money you get when eating out. You can either go to the lovely harbour restaurants or the small family run restaurants off the side of the road....either way there is something for everyone! or cook in and use the great BBQ whilst watching the sun set...bliss! Watersports at very reasonable prices and superb markets to do your shopping - food and clothes, but be prepared to bargain! Brilliant Fun ! We will be back next year

“Best rental apartment in tranquil part of Bodrum Peninsula” This apartment definitely exceeded our expectations as a honeymoon couple who really needed a break. Fantastic balcony and private pool for the villa (of 4 apartments) with stunning views from half way up the hill. The opportunity of feeling the sea breeze and sunshine 'at home' was incomparable. Everything was new, clean and very well-equipped. Washing machine, iron, dishwasher, kitchen appliances, TV, DVD player...etc. Anyone going there would really just need to take their clothes and toothbrushes. It is set in a tranquil area near the little town of Gumusluk, which is a very characteristic bay with quality seafood restaurants and bars. We were so glad we didn't stay in Bodrum and Gumbet as they were overwhelmingly commercial and touristy. Hiring a car is beneficial for convenience although a GPS is not necessary. Bodrum-Milas Airport - 1hr 5min Bodrum - 40min (including time for finding a parking spot!) Turgurtreis - 15min Gumusluk - 5min Supermarket - 2min The apartment alone is worth taking the time off for a getaway! Highly highly recommended!
