Home description
This is a spacious traditional Bodrum house at the top of a quiet, well-kept staffed complex. The three bedrooms are on the ground floor for cooler living. There is a large family bedroom with a king-size bed and a single sofa-bed, dressing table and huge wardrobe - there is also room for a child's cot. This room has a door opening onto a small patio and garden area. The second double bedroom also has a king-size bed and wardrobe, and sea views. The third bedroom has a single bed and a single sofa-bed. This bedroom has a door leading onto a covered patio with sea views. There is a shower room on the ground floor with a washing machine.
Upstairs, from the front door there is a shower room with boiler for hot water. The sitting room has seating for up to seven, a TV with satellite connection and DVD player. The kitchen/dining area is well equipped with gas hob (electric hob is available if preferred), microwave oven, toasted sandwich maker, kettle, glasses, crockery, cutlery and utensils. Tea towels are provided.
From the kitchen, a patio door leads to a covered balcony with views of the bay, fabulous for alfresco dining. From the entrance hall, marble stairs lead up to the roof terrace. There is a metal gate for child safety. The large roof terrace provides fabulous private sunbathing and breathtaking views of the distant Greek islands of Kalymnos, Lesbos, and Samos. The Yalikavak bay and marina, the Geris hills and an old olive grove behind the house provide a superb setting.
A patio set with four reclining chairs, a table and sun shade, large Turkish cushions and rugs and a BBQ are for your use on the roof. There is nearly always a beautiful sea-breeze here giving a superb climate even in the summer heat. Outside there is car parking by the house and a small garden area.
There is a superb large shared pool with separate children's' pool, sunbeds, chairs and sunshades. The complex is staffed and daily supplies of fresh bread, water, newspapers and rubbish collection can be arranged.
The property has an English-speaking manager should you need any local help.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region
Situated high above Yalikavak in a quiet and prestigous residential area yet ony 300m from the sea. Delightful cooling sea breezes keep the heat pleasantly bearable in summer. A dolmus stops at the entrance to the development to take you into Yalikavak where you can find connecting services to Bodrum, Gumusluk, Turgetreis, and Gundogan. You will be spoiled for choice of excellent blue flag beaches.
Transport from and to the airport can be arranged for you or car hire can be arranged for you if you prefer.
Bodrum / Yalikavak area
Yalikavak is described as the St Tropez of Bodrum but is traditionally renowned for it's sponge fishing and mandarin groves.The fishing harbour still exists close to the Turkish bazaar and from here daily Gulet cruises are available to isolated breathtaking beaches along the coast and to Turgetries market. Restaurants serve a variety of cuisine to suit all tastes and budgets, including Turkish, Chinese and English. Yalikavak is famous for its seafront fish restaurants providing breathtaking views of the islands and sunsets, whilst the famous fish restaurants of Gumusluk are an easy 10 minute's car or Dolmus ride away.
The new and the old blend superbly together in Yalikavak, the new marina provides for sailing, whilst scuba diving and other watersports can be arranged locally. Bodrum has a famous castle, mausoleum and Museum of Underwater archaeology.
A sleepy little place by day, Yalikavak comes alive at night. The famous nightlife of Bodrum is easily reached if desired. A new golf course has opened near Tuzla about 40 minutes drive away.
Boat trips to Kos and Rhodes can be arranged from Yalikavak and there are weekly trips to Ephesus, Pamukale Marmaris and Samos. Horseriding, jeep-safari, fishing trips and of course the Turkish bath are highly recommended.
How to get there
Low cost airlines flying direct to and from Bodrum . Car hire from airport or Yalikavak. Car not necessary but advisable. Private airport transport available on request. By ferry from Kos or Rhodes to Bodrum Bodrum 20 minutes by car/dolmus
