BookThe West Country / Cornwall region
Cornwall is rightly famous for its endless supply of sandy beaches and harbours and we're particularly fortunate to be close to so many! Places like Padstow, Polzeath, Port Isaac, Tintagel, Boscastle, Fowey & Looe are all under 30 minutes drive from us! Cornwall is also blessed with more than it's fair share of wonderful historic houses & gardens, both National Trust and privately owned and many of these, including The Lost Gardens of Heligan and The Eden Project are on the 'must see' list for many people! Lanhydrock House (NT) is only 10 minutes from us and their gardens, like many others in Cornwall, are stunning places to visit, particularly in Spring & early Summer.
Walkers, too, are also spoilt for choice and we can offer wonderful moorland and forest walks from the doorstep or amazing coastal paths just slightly further away! Furthermore, we're only a mile from the Camel Trail to Padstow so the area is ideal for cyclists, too! What are you waiting for?
The Bodmin / Blisland area
Blisland, where we're situated is probably the prettiest village in Cornwall and we are walking distance from the village green, with it's old granite cottages, Pub & Church nestling around it! The Pub is a Real Ale favourite and like many in Cornwall is very dog-friendly! We have a Community run shop with PO and cafe (with internet access) so we can offer guests just about everything they need!
Cornwall is not really about Towns although Lostwithiel and Wadebridge are certainly worth a visit (and Wadebridge has a lovely little cinema!). Truro, the county town is also worth visiting. Local attractions include
Pencarrow House, Cardinham Woods, the Camel Trail, the Bodmin & Wenford Steam Railway and Golitha Falls so there's something for everyone within a 10 minute radius!

We can thoroughly recommend this cottage for a peaceful, relaxed holiday. The accommodation is fantastic for families and suited us perfectly - 4 children and 2 adults. The owners are extremely friendly, and will go the extra mile to ensure you everything you need for your holiday. The setting is in a lovely village location, away from tourist spots but close enough to beaches, towns and amenities by car. Completely recommend this cottage! |
