This beautiful romantic self catering penthouse - cottage set within 14 acres of landscaped grounds and is a fantastic summer or winter holiday in Cornwall. Whether you want easy access to the sea with Polzeath, Rock & Damer beaches or a walk/cycle on the scenic camel trail, or a round of golf at the acclaimed Lanhydrock 18 hole golf course, or windsurfing, sailing, fishing at Siblyback Lake, or take the kids to play in one many of local parks or indoor/outdoor activity centres/attractions nearby, or if you wish to go for a great meal at the renowned Bodmin Jail Restaurant, Blisland Inn, Rick Stein's Sea Food Restaurant, Jamie Oliver's Fifteen Restaurant or in fact do nothing more than unwind in the Barbados Jacuzzi while watching your favourite TV or DVD, or maybe a gym session with a relaxing steam/shower/ massage chair finish, or perhaps a game of pool followed by a barbecue and a drink on the private terrace - then this has to be the best place in Cornwall to do it.

Cottage is conveniently located with easy access to A30 A38 A39 A389 & A391, and is minutes away from Boscatle, Tintagel, Padstow & Newquay. It is also very close to Polzeath, Rock & Damer Beaches or if you prefer Harlyn Bay, Constantine Bay, or Watergate Bay are only a little bit further. If you love Golf then 2 of Cornwalls best 18 hole golf courses Lanhydrock & Lostwithiel are between 3-10 minutes away. If you fancy boat hire, , sailing or UK's top trout fishing then you are less than 5 miles away from Colliford & Siblyback lakes. For kids you are less than 10 miles from Dobwalls Adventure Park, Creally, Eden Project, Lanhydrock House. Less than 15 minutes drive south is picturesque port town of Fowey with its many Restaurants beautiful views & quirky shops. During peak season you may take boat trips from Fowey to Falmouth, Plymouth & the Isles of Scilly

Located 2 miles away is the acclaimed Lanhydrock 18 hole golf course. This parkland par 70 parkland course requires strategic play - poor shots rarely result in ‘death and destruction’ but intelligent strokes fully rewarded. Visitors will find a warm atmosphere and are welcome here year round.

Located 6 miles away is Lostwithiel Hotel Golf & Coutry Club. This 18 hole golf course is one of the most interesting and varied in the county. Designed to take full advantage of the natural features of the landscape, it combines two distinctive areas of hillside and valley. The challenging front nine rewards you with magnificent views of the surrounding countryside while the picturesque back nine runs through leafy parkland flanked by the silver waters of the Fowey . There are exceptional all year round practice facilities, including a driving range with undercover and grass bays, putting greens and practice bunkers. The complex also has a gym, swimming pool, tennis courts, fishing & clay pigeon shooting.

The outside terrace has seating for 8 + coal barbeque + patio heater. The Gym is strictly for adult use only (a key will be provided). There is a professional Lifecycle Bike, LifecycleTreadmill, pulleys & free weights as well as a professional massage chair, Barbados 2 person jacuzzi bath & 4 seat er steam room - we will instruct you on arrival. Smoking is not permitted within house but OK on outside terrace.

Will consider small dogs if kept in travel cage overnight/if left alone for any period of time - no chewing puppies & no pets in bedrooms - this is vital to insure allergen free zone. You must always ask permission for any pets before arrival. No sandy towels in washing machine as this clogs the pipes & wrecks the rubbers. Smoking allowed on outdoor terrace areas only.


Conditions

We are happy to consider discounts for the following: any booking over 6 nights outside peak season, any customer who wishes to book again, any customer who has come as a result of a recommendation, low occupancy - if you are not going to be using all of the beds.

If your arrival/departure date is not a Saturday please allow a £50 premium as we have to make special arrangements for your arrival - hence if both arrival & departure date are not Saturday then please allow £100 premium to the cost of your stay unless your stay exceeds 10 nights in which case no premium is applied. We do not charge any extra premiums for cots / highchairs.

An electrical safety and gas boiler/appliance service/inspection was carried out by NBUK Specialist Services(CORGI - NIC-EIC Part P ) on 22/07/07. We use mattress protectors & steam clean regularly to insure a healthy environment for all visitors. All window openings are well out of reach of young children and cannot be opened easily without adult intervention (sash windows are heavy). All furniture is British safety standard compliant and is almost all new. The property is equipped with a mains operated fire alarm.

I will take a security deposit of £300 which will include £100 towards cleaning - if the place is left clean/undamaged we will refund you £300 - If you would like us to clean it then we will refund less the £100. Where bookings are made a 20% deposit is required to secure your holiday and the balance must be paid 60 days before you arrival date. "My friends and I booked this cottage and one next door over New Year 2007 and it was excellent! Very clean and very well presented throughout. Very Impressive!
We were 5 families with children of all ages and there was plenty to do indoors. The pool table kept the older children occupied as well as the many board games for the younger children. There was the best selection of DVD's you could imagine for all ages. We all enjoyed the jacuzzi, steam room and massage chair which was found in the well equipped Gym.
Close by there was The Eden Project, we had a great time here and there was ice skating on the day. Padstow home to Rick Steins famous restaurants - which is a must! All this and beaches close by. Would be fantastic for a summer holiday to. We will definatley be going back at some point. A big thankyou to Chris the owner who was also there to greet us. " - Angela - New Year 2007'
