"Everything the ad states and more!"
If you are looking for a lovely cottage in wonderful surroundings, hosted by very warm and helpful people, you have found it! Kevin and Marjorie will make you feel right at home. They guide you around, give practical advice and help in any way they can, without imposing themselves. The Kingfisher cottage is renovated, very cosy and equipped with the best tools. No cheap materials, but expensive equipment, meant to provide guests a stay without worries. The 17 acres have everything the advert states and even look more impressive when you are actually walking across the land. A whole set of games, jigsaw puzzles and books are at your disposal, along with abundant touristic information about the region. There is simply no time to get bored, even on a rainy day. Never return to the same spot, since the world has so many things to discover? This place will make you doubt that rule!
We had a terrific time and did not even try out the fishing!

"A warm welcome, cosy accommodation and idyllic surroundings"
My wife and I were looking for a convenient stop-off for a few days between home and our ultimate destination. What we ended up with was a place that we would have loved to have stayed for the whole or of our holiday. There were some really nice touches - the welcome box including fresh clotted cream and scones and fresh flowers. Through thought has gone into what is needed in a cottage and all has been provided even the tea bag squeezer. A bbq with all the essentials as well just have to catch a fresh trout which is very possible here.
Marjorie and Kevin made us feel like we were visiting friends for a few days. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The fishing on the River Fowey and the private lake stocked with brown trout were brilliant.
Thank you for such positive comments. It has been lovely welcoming our guests during our first year as owners of Rivermead Farm. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us and that we were able to offer you all that you look for in a good holiday. We do hope you will return in the future and have the opportunity to barbeque some Rivermead trout!
