Further details indoors:
Whilst retaining considerable charm, this detached cottage has been the subject of sympathetic extension and renovation over recent years. There is a small storm porch which opens into the dining room with its slate flag floor, beamed ceiling and wood burner (which is set in a large granite fireplace with a clome oven). In the adjoining sitting room there are also beams, a large fireplace with clome oven and wood burner, with the addition of a LCD tv and dvd player. The conservatory has fitted blinds, a slate flag floor and overlooks the enclosed securely fenced and private front gardens with its mature shrubs, flowers and boundaries, it is mainly laid to lawn. The kitchen is very well appointed with an electric cooker and an oil fired Aga. There is a microwave (with grill and convection oven), coffee maker, toaster, dishwasher, ipod docking station for mp3 etc, and again this room is finished with a slate flag floor.
There are two staircases, one from the kitchen and one from the dining room. Leading from the kitchen are the stairs to the master bedroom, this has the benefit of its own adjoining bathroom. The other two bedrooms (a double and a twin) are via a staircase from the dining room and are served by a shower room.
There are summer and winter duvets along with both feather and anti alergy pillows.
In addition to the high chair, a travel cot is avalable.
Further details outdoors:
Externally the front the property is approached on the lower side from the lane where there is a parking bay (for one car) and large stone and slate built garden/log store. A footpath then leads from here into the front gardens where there are a table and chairs. To the side of the cottage and beyond the conservatory there is a further large raised garden area with teak bench and table. To the rear is large modern detached double garage block with its two up and over doors and rear access door. The garage is accessed from an adjacent lane and through its own double gates onto a forecourt parking area ( 4 cars) in front of the garages. Behind the garages and cottage is a further large area of garden laid to lawn which is gently sloping with mature conifer hedging with open country views beyond. This is ideal as a dog run or to play football in as it is fully fenced. There is a barbeque for guest's use in the garage along with additional teak garden furniture. The garden is fully and securely fenced.

The Bodmin / Blisland area
The Village of Blisland is a stroll down through the lane from the cottage. The market town of Bodmin is approximately 6 miles to the south. The cottage is less than ten minutes drive from the A30 which gives fast access to the rest of Cornwall and Devon. I stayed at Lease Cottage in Blisland with my husband, 6 year old daughter and our 3 dogs( 1 Jack Russell and 2 English Setters) From first enquiring about staying at Lease Cottage, the service from Ben was fantastic. The cottage itself is beautiful, we felt instantly at home. Set in a very quiet lane, perfect for total relaxation. The quality of everything is of a very high standard, including the bedding and towels. Everything is thought of, even games and books. We could not fault the cleanliness of it either. The gardens are very private and secure, and the dog run is a god send. The village of Blisland is lovely and we found the locals very friendly and helpful. We went to the local pub The Blisland Inn a few times and we did have a meal , which was great and there was plenty of it! also child and dog friendly. Some lovely country walks around Blisland too. The beaches which are only a short car drive are stunning, our daughter and our dogs loved it We absolutely loved our stay at Lease Cottage and were really sad to leave, but most definitely booking up again for next year. |
