Beautifully appointed with south facing views, the cottage is steeped in character and possesses a wealth of exposed beams and period features, including an original inglenook fireplace with a wood burner. It is perfect for holidaymakers really wanting to get away from it all.

Ground Floor Accommodation

Sitting room, seating 8, with inglenook fireplace and low beamed ceiling. Attractive furnishings, including framed tapestry and paintings by local artists, add to the welcoming ambiance.

Large, long ,fully equipped kitchen with electric solid ring hob and electric oven, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. Farmhouse table with seating for 8 and an external door leading to the side of the property.

Pretty twin bedroom with beamed ceiling and south facing views leading into small hall and further on into shower room and w.c.

Stairs from this hall lead up into the lovely bright loft bedroom with its unique appeal away from the hub of the household. Three windows ensure the room is flooded with light.

On the first floor there is:

One pretty double bedroom. Crisp white linens compliment the attractive toile furnishings and with the south facing window ensuring that the room is always light.

One Twin bedroom. Co-ordinating floral linens are light and bright and create a lovely fresh bedroom, again with a south facing window.

Bathroom. Relax in a full length bath or wash away the grime of the day in the shower cubicle. W.C. and wash hand basin.

A provisional booking will only be confirmed on receipt of a deposit of 20% of the total rental within seven days of making the booking. Payment of the balance is payable 6 weeks prior to arrival, full payment at time of booking is required if less than seven weeks before your arrival date.

A towel bale, comprising 1 bath and 1 hand towels, can be ordered for the duration of your stay at a charge of £6

Accommodation is available from 4pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure. It may be possible to obtain earlier entry or later departure dependent on availability.

On arrival, we provide washing-up liquid, dishwasher tablets (where required), kitchen roll, toilet paper, hand soap, salt & pepper.

Well behaved dogs may be accepted at a cost of £30 per week but are not permitted in bedrooms or on any furniture and must not disturb or be a nuisance to other guests.

Owing to the presence of the lake and the river, children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times, the owners accept no responsibility.

Rivermead Farm cottages are strictly non smoking.

Guests are asked to consider obtaining cancellation insurance, neither deposit or balances are refundable.

Rivermead Farm is ideally located for exploring the beautiful South East region of Cornwall.

Ideally located for all the attractions of Cornwall, situated in the idyllic Glynn Valley, just off the A38, almost mid way between Liskeard & Bodmin. Rivermead Farm is located on the edge of Bodmin Moor yet only 8/10 miles from Looe and Polperro, both north and south coasts being easily accessible within 30 minutes. All the main routes of Cornwall are close and give easy access to popular locations like Port Isaac (Doc Martin), St Ives (arts & crafts), Padstow (Rick Stein), Tintagel(the legend of King Arthur) and Newquay and the north coastal resorts, famous for wind & surf boarding.

Bodmin

Siblyback Lake, located on the edge of Bodmin Moor, offers: windsurfing, sailing and kayaking.

Local Towns & Villages.

Explore the quaint villages of: Polperro, Looe, Charlestown and St. Neots, the historic towns of Fowey and Lostwithiel, and the local main town of Liskeard.

Beaches & Watersports

For something different visit the Duchy of Cornwall Nursery, at Lostwithiel, Trelawney Garden Centre near Wadebridge, or Trago Mills at Liskeard.

Rivermead Farm is well situated for both coastal or inland walks, with Bodmin Moor, the Camel Trail and the South West Coast Path all easily accessible.

"Magical ;Darling buds of May; Rivermead Farm Cottage surpassed our expectations."

We loved Rivermead Farm Cottage. We travelled there in September 2012 with extended family which can be trying at the best of times but the minute we were welcomed by the wonderful owners into Rivermead Farm Cottage all the cares of the world melted away. From the photographs you can see the pretty cottage style decor but what you cant see is the extremely high quality of the decor and the furnishings. Rivermead Farm cottage is sparkling clean and oh so cosy with a well equipped kitchen and some of the most gorgeous views that i have ever seen. Mr and Mrs Creek obviously love their beautiful cottages (yes there are more on the same property and we are planning a trip with friends in the new year as between them they sleep 20!) and the care and attention to detail that they have lavished on them are obvious from the start. We had all sorts of extra goodies that we really didnt expect but that made us feel so special and welcome. Bodmin Moor is a beautiful part of the country and I absolutely recommend Rivermead Farm Cottage.

We are delighted to hear that all the family enjoyed their stay at Rivermead Farm, it was rewarding for us to see such a happy family group enjoying a holiday away together. Thank you for your very positive comments about the accommodation, we have furnished and equipped them to the standard that we enjoy on our holidays. Looking forward to welcoming you back in 2013!

"An excellent detached holiday cottage furnished and equipped to a high standard"

My wife and I, and friends, were delighted with this cottage which we had booked for a week's fishing holiday at the end of September. We were made very welcome upon arrival by the owners, Kevin and Marjorie, who showed us around the cottage and provided us with a generous welcome hamper. The cottage is situated in a superb location, surrounded by woodland, and within 100 yards of the River Fowey, one of the country's foremost game-fishing rivers. There are extensive lawns, woods, and riverside walks within the owner's grounds which guests are free to enjoy. A large trout lake is situated in the grounds, and the owners have created various interesting distractions such as climbing frames and parallel bars etc as you wander around the grounds. The cottage itself is charming, clean, warm and cosy, and is well-furnished and fully equipped, with very good quality fixtures and fittings, and there was nothing that we needed that wasn't provided. The layout is ideal for two or more families holidaying together, as sleeping and bath/shower arrangements are ideally separated to accommodate each family having their own private facilities, but sharing the large kitchen and comfortable lounge. There is a large inglenook fireplace with woodburning stove in the lounge, and although it was not cold enough for us to use this, I can imagine that it would be magical on a cold autumn or winter night, with a glass of whisky.... The location is ideal for easy drives to Looe, Polperro, Fowey etc.

So glad you enjoyed your stay, we are still in the process of enhancing the outdoor facilities but it is good to know that you found everything to your liking. We do appreciate your very positive comments. Thank you.

"A very relaxing, welcoming and home from home holiday"

The cottage is very well equiped, paticularly the kitchen and the cottage has lovely period features. The beds were very comfy too! The welcome hamper was great and the grounds are 'to-die-for'! The welcome from our hosts was cheerful, positive and nothing was too much trouble, including great suggestions for days out and places to eat and shop (check out Trago Mills)! There is great birdwatching and the hosts were very enthusiastic about the home and their future plans for it! Definitly one to revisit soon!!

We delighted that your visit to Rivermead Cotatge was enjoyed so much, we agree that the Cottage and the adjacent Barns are really superb.
