Comfortable and well appointed to a high standard our cottage is in the Osprey village of Boat of Garten,nestled in the Scottish Highlands below the Cairngorm Mountains close to Aviemore.

We are a short walk to the famous Boat of Garten Golf Club and the Strathspey Railway and if you are a keen fisherman the beautiful River Spey awaits you also.

Take a short drive to the RSPB hide at Loch Garten to see the Ospreys.

Don't forget all your outdoor gear as we have storage for all your bikes,skis,fishing,climbing and walking kit in our drying shed.

We have off road parking and fenced garden.

The Aviemore and the Cairngorms region

Within the Cairngorm National Park, The Boat (Boat of Garten) is perfectly situated for a base to explore our region, with Inverness 40mins away for shopping,architecture,theatre,ice rink,airport.

There is abundant Distilleries to visit and beautiful castles and gardens to roam,there are Whisky festivals through the seasons and then there are the Highland games,a visitor to the Highlands should never miss a chance to see them.

Always take your willies and wind cheaters as the weather can change very quickly but on the other hand do not forget the sun cream as when it's hot it's hot.

Take a trip to see the Loch Ness Monster or head to Chanory Point to see the Dolphins north of Inverness, see the famous Culloden Battle Field.

Boat of Garten

When you arrive in Boat of Garten, suck in the fresh Highland air and just chill to the sound of the outdoors or pick up your clubs for a leisurely 18 at The Boat.

Take a trip on the steam train into Aviemore with the family.

For the adventurer jump on your bike and hit the many trails around the valley or strap on your skis and tackle Cairngorm take a canoe down the Spey or stick a pair of waders on and cast a line for a Salmon or big Trout.

Take the family out to Landmark Forest Park (a 10% discount available with every booking) for a fun filled day,then drop in to the Heather Centre for a Cluttie Dumpling nr Dulnain Bridge.

Go along to the RSPB hide to see the Ospreys on the nest and if you are lucky you may see them catch a fish in the the loch or the fish farm at Aviemore. Spectacular!

Head for the hills and take in the views of our special valley and send back photos of Highland Magic.

"Perfect holiday base"

Bungalow well laid out. Immaculately clean and with all the comforts of home. Situation perfect for touring the National Park. Drying shed perfect for storing our bikes and accessories. Highly recomme… More
