Lake Bled is known for its stunning location, surrounded by mountains, with a castle on a dramatic ledge and a beautiful church on an island. Bled town offers plentiful amenities including restaurants, shopping, spas and water sports on the lake. From the house Bled can be reached in a few minutes by car or along a beautiful footpath. In the area there is an array of outdoor activities and sightseeing opportunities including fantastic walking, cycling, fly-fishing, water sports and skiing at a variety of resorts within 30min drive. Sightseeing highlights include the medieval towns of Radovljica & Skofja Loka, Ljubljana & Lake Bohinj. Bled area
In a peaceful and beautiful position overlooking the banks of the Sava River and the Julian Alps on the edge of a small village 3km from world famous Lake Bled with its stunningly picturesque castle and church on an island. The area offers a wealth of outdoor activities in summer and winter alike including fishing in the Sava River, walking and cycling trails from the house, adrenalin sports such as paragliding and kayaking not to mention skiing in the winter at a choice of 5 resorts within half an hour's drive from the house. Lots of sightseeing possible nearby with the pretty medieval towns of Radovljica and Skofja Loka within half an hour's drive and the lovely capital Ljubljana just 45 minutes away.

Lake Bled is situated in the heart of Slovenia's Julian Alps with 2 airports nearby. Ljubljana airport (Easyjet, Adria Airways) is 33km away and the Austrian airport in Klagenfurt (Ryanair) is 61km away. Trieste, Venice, Salzburg and Zagreb airports are a little further but also possible to use to get to the Bled area. Bled is just off the major motorway running through Slovenia's Julian Alps so easily accessible by road from Ljubljana and the South or from Austria & Italy in the North. The nearest railway station is a few kilometres away at Bled Lesce served by national and international services. The property is located in a tranquil position just 3km from Lake Bled - easily accessible by car, bus or foot.
