Nestling in the beautiful Gorenjska mountains, the Slovenia Holiday Home is idyllically located on the edge of a small hamlet just three miles from the picturesque resort of lake Bled.
Ideal for those who love the outdoors, with the Triglav National Park and it's many scenic walks on the doorstep . . . but in a country that has so much more to offer, only being the size of Wales, the cities, sea, caves, ski slopes and bordering countries are never far away, providing something for everyone . . . all year round.
Having recently been completely renovated the apartment provides brand new, clean, modern accommodation, yet set in a traditional rustic Slovene street. It has the spectacular Julian Alps as it's backdrop and looks out on to yet another stunning mountain scene.

Completely renovated in 2006 the Slovenia Holiday Home boasts a brand new modern kitchen and shower room, along with new decoration and furniture throughout.
The detached house is split into two apartments, the lower is available for rent, the upper is retained by the owners for their own very occasional use (no more than two weeks per year)
There is ample storage in the basement for luggage and skis.

The house has front and rear lawned gardens which guests are welcome to relax in, or alternatively chill out on the balcony and take in the breathtaking mountain views.

The Gorenjska region
The Gorenjska region HAS IT ALL . . . located north west of Ljubljana, the capital city, there is something for everyone from young families to romancing couples, adrenaline junkies to those simply in need of a peaceful retreat.
The region borders both Italy and Austria, is home to the popular Lake Bled, tranquil Lake Bohinj, the Julian Alps, Triglav, the country’s highest mountain, the National Park, numerous waterfalls, several Ski resorts and the capital city is only half an hour away.

The Bled area
Krnica is a small hamlet 3 miles from the edge of Lake Bled.
Local attractions include the Triglav National Park, the Radovna riverside cycle route and the stunning waterfalls of Vintgar Gorge.
Within a few hundred metres of the house there is a small supermarket, bar and cash point. At the end of the road you will find a bus stop with regular buses to Bled and beyond!

Fly to Ljubljana - just 30 minutes from the house
Flights are available from Easyet (Stansted) and Adria (Gatwick)
Other easily accessible airports include Venice - Italy, Rjeka - Croatia, (both two and a half hours drive), Trieste - Italy (two hours) and Klagenfurt - Austria (one hour).
Car hire is available at all of these airports - one recommendation would be www.economycarrentals.com
There are always local taxis available at Ljubljana airport - fare should be no more than 30 euros.
Once at the house local buses and taxis are easily accessible for getting about.

Great accomodation in very peaceful setting. Some walks possible directly from the appartment or the sights of Bled (5-10 min drive), Bohinj, Kranjska Gora etc. all an easy drive away. Appartment equiped with everything you need and great selection of guide books and local advice available for guests to use. Owners extremely helpful and keen for you to have a good stay. Look forward to going back. |

We also rent for a short week (Mon to Fri) for £300 and a long weekend (Fri to Mon) for £300 in both low and mid seasons.
Prices shown are inclusive of linen, towels, heating, electricity and a 24 emergency helpline whilst at the apartment.
A Tourist Tax is to be paid locally. This is set at a daily rate of 1.01 euro per adult, 0.51 euro per child (7-18 years) and free if under 7 years.
