About the home

Maja apartments are located on quiet and peaceful location, just ten minutes’ walk from the lake. Local market and bus station are just three minutes away.
Apartment has 1 bedroom, living room with kitchen, bathroom and balcony. From sofa in living room we make another bed for 2, if needed.
If you just want to relax, or if you want an active holidays in nature, this is the place to come.

The Gorenjska region

Mountains, forests, cristal clear mountain rivers, water falls, lakes, fresh air.... This is in few words Gorenjska, the north-west of Slovenia.

And Bled? Lots of tourists say, it's like in a fairytail. With lake that has island in the middle, sourrounded with mountains. Not to mention Bled castle and 17th Century church on the island.
Bled has a mild, healthy sub-Alpine climate with the longest swimming season of any Alpine resort.

For all who love nature and everybody that wants to escape from stressing everydays life.

For the one that wants active holidays: Riding in nature, climbing the surrounding mountains, cycling and golfing, ballooning and parachute gliding, rafting. ...And there is so much more! Exploring Vintgar gorge with its waterfalls, pools and rapids,just to mention one more.

This is also place to be for fisherman due to beautiful fly fishing river Sava Bohinjka and fascinating lake Bled, whith excellent capabilities for carp, pike, lake trout and pike-perch fishing.

Bled with its sourroundings is also perfect for holiday makers that just want to rest, and enjoy in beautiful scenery, fresh air, take some swimming in Lake Bled.

By car: Direction from: Germany, Austria, The Netherlands, Belgium, UK, France --> Austria ( A 10, Tauern motorway)--> Karawanke tunnel, --> Exit Bled
From Italy: Boarder crossing Tarviso (Motorway towards Jesenice/Ljubljana-->Exit Bled

By train: Direction from: Germany, Austria, The Netherlands, Belgium, UK, France --> Austria --> Jesenice --> Stop Lesce Bled. From there we can organize taxi for you.
From Italy --> Nova Gorica ( Gorizia) --> Jesenice--> Stop Bled Jezero. Then taxi.
From Ljubljana Train towards Jesenice--> Stop Lesce Bled

By plane: Airport Ljubljana (Adria Airways, Easyjet, ..) From there, you can take taxi to Bled.
Airport Klagenfurt (RyanAir) From there taxi to Kranj and then bus to Bled.
Airport Ronchi Take the bus to Monfalcone railway station - located some 5 kilometres from the airport. From there you can take the train to Ljubljana and then from Ljubljana to Bled-Lesce.

Or: Take the bus to Gorizia and then continue by train to Bled Jezero railway station. Then by taxi to Bled

If you would like to take rent a car, take into account that rates of car rentals are usually cheaper in Slovenia.

“Great location within good walking distance of Lake Bled” Great holiday had by all, even our teenage boys enjoyed being in Bled within easy walking distance of all local sporting activities and restaurants. The Room was very spacious and open plan with a large balcony over looking mountains and lush country side. My only critic was that I feel a sofa would have been welcomed within the room to accomadte us all rather than sitting on the bed on evenings in. However, this did not pose us any problems and our stay at Maja apartments was and will be a memorable one.
