Home description
La Boussole is set in a beautiful thatched hamlet of 4 renovated gîtes. A fully equipped 30m2 studio, it is a home-away-from home. It has a kitchenette, which has views on the pool and 8000 m2 garden. There's also a sofa-bed in the lounge area, where you can watch TV or DVDs. The four poster bed is in a small alcove, which gives it a little more privacy. The shower room, is also equipped with a hand-basin, WC and washing machine. You also have a private terrace, where you can lounge or have a BBQ, whilst at the same time, take in the garden view.

The Brittany / Morbihan region
Brittany is a beautiful region of France, situated on the West coast of France. It is enormously popular with many tourists. From its gorgeous beaches to hiking paths to medieval villages, Brittany has much to offer for its holiday makers. However, come discover it for yourself and make your own opinion. If you never never go, you'll never never know!!
Blavet Valley / Quistinic area
We are situated amongst a village of other thatched houses. The environment is quiet and very picturesque. It is just a 5 minutes walk from the famous village POUL FETAN, which has a creperie and bar there. It is a short drive to the main village, Quistinic, which has many pretty attractions. There is a creperie, a few bars and a small shop which acts, both, as a boulangerie, and "superette". You can finish your visit by having a galette or "une bolée" of cider there.
There are also, plenty of hiking paths, you can also cycle around and take in the breathtaking views of the Blavet or just the valleys. You can also rent canoes or kayaks and go on the Blavet for the day. If you want to soak up some sun, Carnac beach is not too far away either. Of course, you can walk the small streets of the surrounding villages and taste local specialities from the markets.
How to get there
Ferries: Brittany Ferries run services from Plymouth to Roscoff (6 hours), from Portsmouth to St-Malo (9 hours), from Poole to Cherbourg, from Portsmouth to Caen and from Cork to Roscoff.
Condor Ferries runs a high-speed service between Weymouth/pool and St-Malo (4 hours 15 minutes).
Drive time from the ferry at St Malo is approx 1hr 45m, Hire cars are available from the Airports at St Brieuc or Dinard.
Flying: Flybe, Ryanair and Aerarann offer great deals to Brittany.
