3 bedrooms one double and 2 twins and a bathroom/w.c.

A large grass area with pool and summerhouse, football goal and swings.
3 kayaks and an inflatable boat.
Motor boat for daily hire.
Mountain bikes, fishing rods and equipment provided.
A large barn with table tennis, pool table, dartboard and many children's toys and games.
A large decked and barbecue area with views of the Blavet valley and river.

Facilities

Further details indoors:
The 100 year old cottage was a breton farmhouse and has been recently restored.
The cottage still has the original timber and beams and the barn opposite is kitted out with table tennis, pool table, dartboard and plenty of games for the children of all ages.
We live close by so we can offer help and advice recommending local restaurants, bars, markets beaches etc if required.

Further details outdoors:
A new 6 x 4 mt pool has recently been installed with a decking attached.
Why not take the kayaks or the boat down to the village and pick up a baguette or croissants.
Or use the bikes and cycle along the tow path that stretches for miles in both directions and try to spot kingfishers and otters.
Also you could take a picnic and stop along side the river by one of the locks.
St Nicolas des Eaux is 300 mts away and has bars, restaurants, bistro and a tourist information centre.
Hire the motor boat and have a day exploring the river.

The Brittany / Morbihan region

Walk to St Nicolas des Eaux where there are 2 Hotels, restaurants, bistro, bars, creperie and a village shop.
The nearest supermarket is 3 kms away with the larger towns of Pontivy and Baud approximately 10 mins.
The region has a micro climate and is usually 3 to 5 degrees hotter than the rest of Brittany.

The Blavet Valley / St Nicolas des Eaux area

The river has a path running along the far bank that is ideal for walking and cycling as it goes for miles in both directions.
Activities include, Kayaking, boating, fishing and swimming from the grounds.
Also tennis courts in the local village.
The local 9 hole golf course 5 mins away is open to non members and it also has a driving range.
There is horse riding, archery and a go kart track also only 5 mins away.
There is a street fair in St Nicolas most Saturdays in the summer.
At the end of July/August there is a 2 week music festival in Lorient 30mins away.
There is a huge choice of uncrowded beaches such as Carnac, Erdeven and Port Louis all within 40 mins.
The Quiberon peninsular is also worth a visit.
The local towns of Baud and Pontivy have larger choice of supermarkets, shops bars and restaurants only 10 mins away.
A must visit is the historical town of Vannes and also the Golfe du Morbihan with its hundreds of small islands to explore.
The larger town of Lorient.with its bars and cafes by the port is only 30mins away.
If you head north of the cottage there is the Lac de Guerledan which is approx 7 miles long and has a beach with bars and restaurants around it. Also boats can be hired.
