Le Helleguy
About the home
2011 - Awarded 4 stars/keys by French Ministry of Tourism & Clevacances.
The picturesque hamlet of Le Helleguy can be found in the department of Morbihan, southern Brittany, close to the river Blavet. Situated in a stunningly beautiful rural location, in the heart of the Blavet valley, the hamlet is surrounded by 3 acres of landscaped gardens & lawned play areas, rolling countryside, fields and woodland.
The hamlet consists of three beautiful detached thatched Breton cottages. The owners who live onsite (and are available to assist guests during their stay and offer complementary therapies and beauty treatments) occupy one of the cottages, with the two remaining, La Chaumiere and La Grange offered as LUXURY, self catering rental accommodation.
The cottages at LE HELLEGUY ooze Breton charm & traditional character, at the same time offering all the sophisticated facilities and conveniences of modern day life. Rented individually or together (under the hamlet name Le Helleguy), the cottages offer 'home from home' LUXURY, spacious accommodation and are tastefully furnished & equipped to an exceptionally high standard. The 7 spacious bedrooms, 2 of which are en-suite (1 located on the ground floor) provide a good choice of sleeping options to suit larger groups.
The extensive grounds provide a safe haven for children to play and run off steam. With swings, slides, climbing frames, a huge range of outdoor games and the possibility of heated swimming whatever the weather (under the pool's retractable telescopic shelter), there is always something to keep the children entertained.
Free unlimitied WIFI Internet Access enables work commitments to be maintained during your stay and a variety of Complementary Therapies & Beauty Treatments are available onsite to provide a relaxing treat.
Le Helleguy’s ideal location offers easy access to many nearby medieval and historic towns (e.g. Josselin, Auray) and tourist attractions (e.g. Poul Fetan, Camors Adventure Forest). Beautiful sandy beaches are less than 30 minutes drive away (Lamor Plage at Lorient), where a host of beach and sporting activities can be found.

Tricia and Neil could not be more welcoming or provide a better cottage to stay in. We were in La Chaumiere with an extended family and the cottage provided excellent communal space, as well as... more |

Would definitely recommend staying here for the welcome given by Neil and Tricia, the lovely setting, and the great facilities. I would not hesitate to go there again. |

We stayed at Le Helleguy in August 2011 with our 2 sons and 5 grandchildren. The layout of the accomodation was just right, as it is split into 3 different appartments. Being set back off the road it was very safe for the children to run around, and they just loved the private swimming pool which had a 'telescopic' cover for use at night and on cooler days. Also, nothing was too much trouble for the hosts Neil & Tricia Young, who went out of their way to ensure we had a perfect week. |
