Taddlestones Cottage
About the home
A magnificent detached thatched cottage offering a complete escape from every day life. The cottage boasts a spacious living room with beautiful open inglenook fireplace, a large dining room to seat ten, a farmhouse-style kitchen and four bedrooms.
Bursting with character Taddlestones cottage still has its original beamed ceilings, which can be low in places throughout the ground floor. Located in the hallway behind the living room is the original well, which adds an unusual feature as it is sunken into the floor and covered by protective glass. Quite a talking point.....

The West Country / Dorset region

Tarrant Monkton is a small thatched Dorset hamlet nestling in the Tarrant Valley, surrounded by some of the most spectacular countryside in England, which has changed little since it was immortalised in the novels of Thomas Hardy at the turn of the 19th century. The village has the Tarrant river running through it, with a picturesque ford that you can drive through on your way to Taddlestones cottage.
In the village of Tarrant Monkton is the award winning Langton Arms public house and Rrestaurant; that caters for everyone, open 7 days a week for food.
