The veranda opens onto an extensive patio area, perfect for outdoor dining or BBQ's. The garden benefits from a private pool and play area for children. The Loire Valley / Cher region

The Cher area in the Loire valley is located between the historical cities of Orleans and Bourges. Both have impressive cathedrales, while Bourges offers excellent walking tours in the old city and summer light festivals. The Loire Valley is full of medieval chateau's worth visiting, which are too numerous to mention! It is also a centre for wine growing with famous white wines from local town Sancerre. The climate South of the Loire river is very pleasant and generally considered warmer than Northern France. Less than 2 hours away, Paris is not too far for a visit.

Blancafort area

Two of best local activities are fine food and wine testing! All local villages have quality French restaurants, such as the Michelin rated Lievre Gourmand in neighbouring Vailly. Free wine tastings are available in the many Sancerre vineyards.
There is much to visit in the local area; well-known chateau's within 10 minutes include Blancafort, Aubigny and chateau de la Verrerie. Excellent local museums include history of the French - Scottish alliance at the Aubigny chateau and la Scorcellerie (witchcraft) museum.
Sports facilities such as tennis and golf are readily available in the area.
